13-Year-Old Gets 24-Year-Old Teacher Pregnant – Apparently, Parents Encouraged It

A 13-year-old boy engaged in a sexual relationship with his 24-year-old teacher, and as a result, the teacher became pregnant. She later murdered the unborn baby because she became nervous after she was visited at school by Child Protective Services over the relationship. However, it’s the reports of the boy’s parents that are even more disturbing.

ABC 13 reports:

A middle school teacher is wanted by authorities, accused of sexually abusing a child. There’s a warrant out for her arrest.

Alexandria Vera was an English teacher at Aldine ISD’s Stovall Middle School. According to court documents, last summer Vera met a 13-year-old boy who was a student in her 8th grade English class during summer school. A sexual relationship reportedly developed.

Vera claims she and the teen are in love, and she’s been introduced to his family as his girlfriend, court documents state. The boy’s parents are reportedly accepting of the relationship, including Vera in family gatherings.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

It didn’t seem that Vera and the boy tried to hide what they were doing either. According to one student eyewitness, the relationship was spoken about by numerous students.

“He like grabbed her butt, and everybody saw it,” the student said. “And then they were talking about it.”

ABC added that court documents reveal that Vera eventually became pregnant with the boy’s baby in January, and that a visit from Child Protective Services in February to discuss the relationship she was having with the boy made her so nervous that she murdered her unborn child.

Even more disturbing than the relationship of Vera and a 13-year-old boy is the response of the boy’s parents. According to Click 2 Houston, which referenced court documents:

Vera told the officer that she first met the student during a summer school session. The DA’s office said the student tried to communicate with the teacher on Instagram. She later sent a message to the student after he didn’t show up for class, which led to the student asking for her phone number, prosecutors said.

Vera said the student asked if the two of them could hang out and she agreed, according to court documents. She told an officer that she drove to the student’s house to pick up the boy, and they drove around and kissed in the car, court documents say.

Vera said she drove to the student’s house again the next day because the student’s parents were not home, the report says. According to the report, Vera said that was the first time when she and the boy had sex. Officials believe that was in September.

Vera said the student’s parents not only knew about the relationship, they approved of it and allowed the teen to spend the night at Vera’s home in Spring, where they engaged in sex on a regular basis, according to court documents. She told an investigator that she would drop him off at home in the morning so he could catch the bus to Stovall Middle School, prosecutors said.

Vera told an officer that the school had an open house in October, when she met the student’s parents. After the open house, Vera went to the student’s home and was introduced as his girlfriend to his parents. According to the report, Vera said the parents were accepting of their relationship and she was invited to family gatherings.

Aldine ISD issued a statement concerning the matter:

“Aldine ISD has been made aware that charges have been filed against a former Stovall Middle School teacher involved in inappropriate behavior with a male student. When the allegation was made in April, the teacher was immediately removed from the school and placed on administrative leave. Aldine ISD Police investigated the incident and turned their findings over to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. The safety and security of Aldine ISD’s students and staff remains a priority of the school district.”

Vera turned herself into the Montgomery County police on Wednesday after a warrant was issued for her arrest. She has been charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child. Her bail was set at $100,000. Within hours, she was released from jail.

Frankly, the boy, at least physically, is able to impregnate a woman, which doesn’t actually make him a child in the sense of this being an issue of pedophilia. However, there is no doubt that Ms. Vera took advantage of the boy. From my perspective, I just don’t understand the encouragement of the boy’s parents to continue in such a relationship.

Some will say this is an issue of “age of consent.” The problem with that line of thinking is the biblical teaching regarding sexual relations. They are to be between a man and a woman in marriage, period. I understand youth, and I admit if an attractive teacher had tempted me in like fashion, I very well may have engaged in the same behavior. That doesn’t make it right. Sadly, the boy’s parents did not protect him in the first place by sending him to public school, and second by approving and allowing the relationship to go forward. Shame on them, and shame on Ms. Vera.
