Trump Pushes Universal Healthcare

I have warned before that if people give Donald Trump enough time, he will show his true colors. He has been giving us glimpses previously concerning marriage, the Christian faith, even a hint at the Second Amendment, but people like his charisma and his “get things done” attitude. Well, now he’s coming out and affirming what I warned you about before; he wants to repeal Obamacare and replace it with another socialized medicine program.

In an interview with CBS correspondent Scott Pelley, Trump was asked his position on healthcare reform.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“Obamacare’s going to be repealed and replaced. Obamacare is a disaster if you look at what’s going on with premiums where they’re up 40, 50, 55 percent,” Trump said.

Like everything else, that is a position, but it’s not a remedy. So, Pelley asked further what his plan would be.

“There’s many different ways, by the way,” Trump began. “Everybody’s got to be covered. This is an un-Republican thing for me to say because a lot of times they say, ‘No, no, the lower 25 percent that can’t afford private.’ But…”

Pelley caught on and recognized it as socialized medicine, or a universal healthcare plan, which I guess is supposed to sound “less socialized,” but it really isn’t.

So, who is Trump going to cover, and how is he going to pay for it? According to the real estate billionaire, he isn’t going to follow the path of the Good Samaritan and pay for it out of his pocket. Oh no!

“I am going to take care of everybody,” Trump said, and I note, sounding like any other socialist politician on the planet. “I don’t care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody’s going to be taken care of much better than they’re taken care of now.”

And again, who is paying for all of this? Remember, this is the guy that told you how bad the system he is in is and how much money he gives to Washington politicians on both sides and they do what he wants when he calls in a favor. He’s putting the American people on the hook for his “healthcare plan.”

“The government’s gonna pay for it,” he said. “But we’re going to save so much money on the other side. But for the most it’s going to be a private plan and people are going to be able to go out and negotiate great plans with lots of different competition with lots of competitors with great companies and they can have their doctors, they can have plans, they can have everything.”

So, when I warned you that you cannot trust a man who claims to be a Presbyterian, Protestant Christian, but has never asked for forgiveness or repentance and claims his faith is the exact opposite of the Lord Jesus, namely private, and isn’t interested in quoting Scripture, but will wave a Bible around, then you better watch out when he tries to appeal to Christians when he uses that “I’ll bring back Merry Christmas” mantra. His claims that redefining marriage to include sodomy was the “law of the land,” despite what the Constitution says about federal court’s authority should have been telling too. The same is true here. Instead of listening to his talking points, start asking the man how he plans to implement his claims. I’ll bet nine out of ten times, we are going to see unconstitutional “solutions” from Mr. Trump. It was already beginning to show in some of his comments about the Second Amendment and now we know that at least a portion of his views are socialism when it comes to healthcare.

Sorry, this is not how you make “America Great Again.”
