Arizona Legislator Exposes Truth about Planned Parenthood Ghouls in Light of Liberal Reporter’s Article

In response to “Our Turn” article, written by Brenda “Bre” Thomas – CEO of Arizona Family Health Partnership, I read with interest the deceptive and misleading statements which were made. For instance, Ms. Thomas states that if Planned Parenthood is defunded abortion rates will rise. Although abortion rates nationwide have dropped, abortion rates within profit-driven Planned Parenthood have risen. According to its annual 2013-2014 report, Planned Parenthood performed 327,653 all the while accepting more than $528 million in taxpayer funds; or about $1.4 million per day.

Ms. Thomas says “all of us want to prevent abortions.” No, not really, only some of us do. Why would the Arizona Family Health Partnership want to reduce services when it receives over 8 million federal taxpayer dollars every year with an additional $50 thousand from Arizona taxpayers? These funds are allocated to organizations such as Planned Parenthood and, quite possibly, those who “signed” the bottom of the article.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Planned Parenthood’s other services, such as cancer screenings, prenatal care and contraceptive services decreased, the 327,653 abortions (an increase from the previous year) comprised 94 percent of Planned Parenthood’s pregnancy services which also include prenatal care and adoption referrals. For every adoption referral, the organization performs 174 abortions. Planned Parenthood currently holds more than $1.4 billion in net assets while taxpayer funding accounts for 41 percent of Planned Parenthood’s revenue.

In Arizona there are 183 women’s healthcare clinic’s just waiting to be used and only 10 Planned Parenthood abortion providers. It defies logic to Ms. Thomas’ claim that losing 5% of the clinics, if you include Planned Parenthood within the total of 193 clinics that offer Title X services, will be the end of the world.

Videos released by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) brought home the horrific and dark practices of Planned Parenthood. Ms. Thomas calls the videos “gotcha,” “issue clouders,” “dishonest” and “inaccurate perception-shaping” which I find offensive and absurd. This is typical strategy when greed and corruption are exposed. Why was the corporate donor list pulled from Planned Parenthood immediately upon release of the first couple of videos?

The public is not dumb Ms. Thomas. The murder and subsequent dissection of infant body parts for sale must stop. When the last video came out and was being discussed on the radio, my friend had to pull over his car because he was weeping at the story of a live baby’s face being cut apart so the brain could be sold. Abortion practitioners were heard on another video saying “it’s a boy.” I thought it was a fetus? What kind of person or organization would condone such evil?

The investment in abortion services Ms. Thomas talks about is an investment I do not want to put my tax dollars in. I believe in the sanctity of life and will work tirelessly to end the horrific mutilation and sale of the unborn. Thank you to Governor Ducey and Attorney General Mark Brnovich for initiating the “emergency rule” and holding abortion providers temporarily accountable. The next legislative session will hopefully make this temporary rule permanent. Our State and Nation deserve better.

UPDATE: AFHP receives about $8 million cumulatively each year in revenue, but that isn’t all federal money. Only $4.73 million was federal money last year, of their total revenue of $8.078 million. And not all of this $4.73 million of federal Title X money goes to Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is just one of the providers that AFHP contracts with.

Also, it’s not AFHP that receives an additional $50,000 from Arizona taxpayers. Rather it’s Planned Parenthood itself that receives approximately $350,000 each year under the Medicaid program, of which $50,000 are state taxpayer dollars.
