If you are unfamiliar with the upcoming bill that has been put on the ballot for the City of Houston, then click here to read the accounts of how it all went down. After months of Houston lesbian Mayor Annise Parker’s lies and deception, the courts finally ordered that the disgusting bathroom bill that she and her colleagues tried to forced down the throats of the people of Houston, will be on the November ballot. Now, former Houston Astro and baseball legend Lance Berkman has come out and encouraged the people of Houston to vote down this bill.
In a new ad for Campaign for Houston, Berkman said, “No men in women’s bathrooms, no boys in girls’ showers or locker rooms!”
“This would violate [women’s] privacy and put them in harm’s way,” he added.
Seems like common sense, doesn’t it? Unless you are a mentally ill person who believes you should engage members of the same sex is perverted sex, or worse, you’re a man who thinks he is a woman.
The initiative is Proposition 1, and has been referred to as Houston Equal Rights Ordinance (HERO). They can’t call it what it really is, so they are attempting to make it out as something heroic and something about equal rights. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The proposition reads:
“Are you in favor of the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance, Ord. No. 2014-530, which prohibits discrimination in city employment and city services, city contracts, public accommodations, private employment, and housing based on an individual’s sex, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, familial status, marital status, military status, religion, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity, or pregnancy?”
Bethany Blankley points out that Berkman has received great support from others for taking the stand he has taken.
State Senator Cecil Bell Jr wrote,
“As someone who knows first-hand about the vile nature of the other side in this battle, I applaud you for having the conviction to stand up for what is right. It’s important to differentiate that public opinion is not driving this “decision” to target you. It is the outcry of a few rogues, willing to use their undue influence with the media in the effort to contort your message, to rebrand your stance in the eyes of the public from one of valor, to one of hate.
“I greatly respect your stance for the rights of your own family, of your wife and of your daughters. By taking this stand you have purposefully placed yourself between those who would do harm to our families, and who seek to destroy our society. You are standing for the rights of all who desire a morally upright society.”
Others have joined Berkman as well. Houston native Rev. Kendall Baker and City Council candidate for District F, asserts, “This ordinance isn’t HERO. HERO is zero. It violates the protection of our women and children.”
Blankley then went on to point out that violations of HERO would be a class c misdemeanor and carry a fine of between $250 and $500 per incident, with a $5,000 cap.
“To be clear,” she wrote, “a woman or girl complaining about a man using a woman’s locker room, shower and/or bathroom could be legally prosecuted for ‘discrimination.’ Advocating women-only and men-only facilities would be considered discriminatory. Advocating against non co-ed facilities in order to ensure privacy and protection, especially for minors, would be considered ‘discriminatory.'”
There is no doubt that the only people this bill is good for are those who are up to “no good.” It will be a serious infringement upon free speech, not to mention a blow to the liberty of Christian morality in Houston.
Mayor Parker is a mentally ill woman. She is engaged in criminal activity (sodomy) and instead of thinking of what is best for the people of Houston, she is attempting to put them in danger by opening up bathrooms to the most degenerate among us. She is one that God has turned over to a reprobate mind (Romans 1:28) and this is the fruit of it.
