There is, in my opinion, different degrees of courage. Publishing on a blog, or broadcasting on a radio show, while speaking truth to power takes a certain measure of courage, indeed. However, it pales in comparison to the courage exhibited by those men and women who put their own safety aside for that of their fellow man; all while being attacked with hi-powered weapons and explosives 5000 miles away from their home. The situation outlined above is not made up, it’s real. The place described was Benghazi, Libya in September of 2012, and the courageous man in the cross-hairs was former Ranger, and Benghazi Warrior, Kris “Tanto” Paronto.
If you have not yet had the opportunity to read the book co-authored by Kris Paronto, 13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened In Benghazi, I recommend that you do so as soon as you can find the time. A mutual friend reached out to me with contact info for Kris, and we were delighted when he accepted our invitation to be a guest on The Liberty Brothers Radio Show.
Although we spoke about the events surrounding Benghazi at length, we also covered topics that make up the headlines of today. Specifically, we spoke about the upcoming Jade Helm 15 exercises and the possibility of gun confiscation and Special Forces firing on Americans. I have included a brief bio for Kris below.
Kris Paronto – “Tanto” as he is affectionately known in security contracting circles – is a former Army Ranger from 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment and private security contractor who has deployed throughout South America, Central America, the Middle East and North Africa. He also worked with the US Government’s Global Response Staff conducting low profile security in high threat environment throughout the world.
