Billboard’s Message of Truth about Homosexuality & Genetics has Homosexual Advocates in Uproar

A recent billboard in Richmond, Virginia, which declares “Nobody is born gay,” has stirred up quite a controversy among advocates of the homosexual agenda.

The billboard was put up by Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX), a “national non-profit organization committed to helping ex-gays and parents and friends of gays who want help, hope and community.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“Identical Twins: One Gay. One Not.”

That is the title of the billboard and it goes on to declare, “We believe twins research studies show nobody is born gay.”

The message of the billboard has caused quite a controversy. Beth Panilaitis, Executive Director at Rosmy, an organization that supports LGBTQ youth, told Fox 8, “I am shocked and really disappointed that at the end of 2014, we have a billboard in the middle of our city that says that kind of hate.”

Perhaps you are like I am and wondering, what is hateful about the billboard’s message? Since when did speaking the truth about something become “hate”?

However, Panilaitis helps us understand what she actually means by her comment about hate.

“No young person or adult should be walking down the road and see something that says that they are not okay as they are,” she said.

That is the problem though, isn’t it? Same-sex attraction and engaging in homosexual behavior is not “okay.” In fact, not only is it sinful, according to the Bible, but actually engaging in homosexual behavior is a crime against nature and can have devastating health issues as well. With the recent consideration of lifting the ban on sodomites donating blood, it seems that they want us to ignore those facts now too.

Yet, Panilaitis is not alone in expressing a negative attitude towards the billboard.

Bill Harrison with the Richmond Gay Community said, “We do not know why people are heterosexual. Maybe when we figure that out, we can determine why some people are not. What we do know is that this type of therapy has caused many people to commit suicide.”

Actually Mr. Harrison is just plain lying. Attempts to teach people repentance don’t cause them to commit suicide. Obviously, there are people who have had same-sex attractions and have even engaged in homosexual behavior, but have repented and left that behavior behind while others don’t want to let go of it. Those people cry out to be treated like everyone else when they act contrary to everyone else and so they are the ones in the dilemma.

The CDC website points out:

LGBTQ youth are also at increased risk for suicidal thoughts and behaviors, suicide attempts, and suicide. A nationally representative study of adolescents in grades 7–12 found that lesbian, gay, and bisexual youth were more than twice as likely to have attempted suicide as their heterosexual peers. More studies are needed to better understand the risks for suicide among transgender youth. However, one study with 55 transgender youth found that about 25% reported suicide attempts.

While the CDC site claims that “homophobic bullying” contributes to suicides, they don’t provide any actual evidence of that. Second, that claim of bullying is simply to allow for mentally ill, deviant sodomites like Dan Savage to receive tax money in order to promote the homosexual agenda among America’s youth.

Executive Director of PFOX Regina Griggs says that there shouldn’t be a controversy if those who are upset would simply look at the facts.

“Identical twins have the same genes or DNA,” Griggs said in a statement. “They are nurtured in equal prenatal conditions.  If homosexuality is caused by genetics or prenatal conditions and one twin is gay, the co-twin should also be gay…Because identical twins are always genetically identical, homosexuality cannot be genetically dictated. No one is born gay.”

“Every person seeking positive life change needs the love and support of family, friends, the community and the church,” she added. “Thousands of individuals have made the decision to leave the homosexual life and will attest to the fact that change is possible. PFOX believes people deserve to know the truth and believes respecting the lives of those who have made a decision to seek change is part of building a tolerant society.”

“We find it interesting that the attacks against the billboard and ex-gay community have nothing to do with the facts,” she concluded.

From a purely physiological standpoint, my friend Shea Bernard has provided one of the clearest presentations that no one is born with homosexual tendencies in this brief article. He wrote:

Dr. Francis S. Collins, head of the Human Genome Project, along with his team of over 150 of the top geneticists in the world, who sequenced and decoded the human genome, three years ahead of schedule, have emphatically said, ad nauseam, that there is NO gay gene, and although I have the original report from Collins where he DID say this in a press conference, this has now been sanitized by the truth loving tolerant homosexuals and the MSM; but you can read excerpts still, like at NARTH; read it here.

The American College of Pediatrics also maintains this position, read it here.

Those who want to justify homosexual behavior simply want to suppress the truth in unrighteousness and they want to label those that speak the truth “haters.” Perhaps people should consider that the ones that speak the truth to them actually love them and care that they do what is right and that those who continue to lie to them are the ones that truly hate them because they don’t love the truth.
