Blood Dripping from Your Hands

For the past 12 days, our ministry has had a booth at the Minnesota State Fair.  While working there, I have had many opportunities to observe many things, but most importantly I have had an opportunity to share the Gospel and straight up truth with lesbians, atheists, God-haters, those who don’t believe we’re a Christian nation, veterans, fellow believers, and more.  Although it’s been a long haul, we measure our success at the Fair in how many people were reached with the truth. With that in mind, our mission to reach the lost was very successful. To God be the glory!

However, taking note once again of the state of the people of this nation was somewhat disheartening.  For the most part, in the 12 days we spent at the Fair, it is plain to see where people’s hearts are at.  Those in attendance indulge themselves in every form of lust and desire that they want.  Everything about the Fair can feed their fleshly appetites.  People go there to indulge in food, purchase their coveted after material possessions, indulge in music, alcohol, lust, and many other forms of idolatry.  You could see from the packed crowds around the sports booths and others, for example, who the real gods in America are.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Our booth was like a needle in a haystack.  A bright shining light amidst this dark and sinful world.  A booth where all who came were given a Gospel tract, testimony book, taken through the Way of Salvation, and so much more.  Our booth was a fresh drink for those that were thirsty, Law to those that were proud, Grace to those that were humble, and an answer to prayer for countless others.  We confronted, we encouraged, we opened up men’s eyes to the Truth through the Spirit of God and more.  It was a one in a million opportunity and we were so blessed to be a part of it.  Jesus said, in Mark 16:15 to “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.” It was a command, not a suggestion and something we are ALL called to do.

For those of you who are timid, apathetic, or downright willfully ignorant to the state of the American people, let me share with you a startling verse. Ezekiel 33:8 says, “When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.” Some of you right now are dripping with the blood of men’s souls that you have not yet confronted with the truth. The blood of those souls who are around you is on your hands if you do not speak to warn them of their sinful condition (I John 3:4) and give them the truth! And keep in mind the Bible also says in James 4:17 that, “…to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

John 8:32 says, that “ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” But how are they to hear without a preacher? As Romans 10:14 says, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” How will men and women hear the truth if you do not lift up your voice to speak it?

If we can do it, you can do it. Do you have hands? Then you can pass out a Gospel track. Do you have feet and a voice God has blessed you with? Then you can walk to your neighbors’ house, to a coworker, friend, or relative and speak the truth that will set men free.  Do you have a body? Then you can put on a Christian T-shirt that shares the message of truth as a walking billboard wherever you go (i.e. the gas station, grocery store, anywhere).

Matthew 5:16 says, Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father, which is in heaven.” There is no excuse why you are not shining the light of truth to those around you! Remember, we will all have to give an account before God someday as we will ALL appear before the Judgment seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10). You don’t want to stand before Him, with blood dripping from your hands!
