California Governor Jerry Brown Welcomes Illegals as Iowa Governor Refuses to House Them

As illegal aliens continue to pour across the US southern border, socialist Governor Jerry Brown has told them they are welcome in the State of California while Iowa Governor Terry Branstad is not wanting to house any of them in his state.

The Los Angeles Times reported:

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto kicked off a two-day tour of California with a speech to Mexican immigrants in Los Angeles on Monday in which he pledged to make life better for his countrymen living on both sides of the border.

“This is the other Mexico,” he said of the United States, which is home to an estimated 11 million Mexican immigrants.

In introducing Peña Nieto on Monday, Brown spoke about the interwoven histories of Mexico and California and nodded to the immigrants in the room, saying it didn’t matter whether they had permission to be in the United States.

“You’re all welcome in California,” he said.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

In contrast to Governor Brown’s lawless remarks, Governor Terry Branstad said that he doesn’t want lawbreakers to be housed in his state.

Washington CBS Local reports:

Gov. Terry Branstad said Monday that he does not want Iowa to host any of the thousands of children from Central America who have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border alone.

During a news conference, Branstad said he was not aware of any of the children currently living in Iowa and that state has not been contacted by the federal government about housing any immigrant children. He said the government’s focus should be on securing the borders.

“The first thing we need to do is secure the border. I do have empathy for these kids,” Branstad said. “But I also don’t want to send the signal that (you) send your kids to America illegally. That’s not the right message.”

Branstad was among a group of governors that met Sunday with Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Matthews Burwell as the Obama administration sought support from states that could host the children.

I think everyone has some sympathy for children. However, from reports that have come out, only ten percent of those crossing the southern border are children. Of the illegals crossing, there are myriads of criminals, gang members and other disease ridden people. The problem is that the Obama administration does not care about any of that because they are advancing their own agenda, and as Valerie Jarrett allegedly stated, “the gloves are off.” Obama is in full Cloward-Piven mode and the US is the target.

The ignoring of immigration laws and choosing not to enforce them is only adding to America’s problems. Sadly, it’s all to overwhelm the system and build up votes.

Columnist Tony Lee points out, “In 2012, 28% of Californians were born outside the United States, according to The New York Times. Hispanic voters reportedly “made up 19.2% of California voters” in 2010. And according to Pew Research, Latinos make up nearly 40% of the state’s population and have made California “only the second state, behind New Mexico, where whites are not the majority and Latinos are the plurality.”

California is clearly a Democrat controlled state, but the influx of illegals is only going to create more problems no matter where they go. What the citizens of America should be doing is demanding the enforcement of the law first and second to withhold any federal funds to states that will house those who are breaking the law. If the state wants to aid and abet lawbreakers, let them pay for it.

Finally, perhaps some sheriffs out to get involved and stop the invasion in their own counties. Though Ohio’s Sheriff Richard Jones didn’t stop it, he did send a bill to Mexico for housing illegals in his jail. Perhaps there needs to be more action by the community like that of the citizens of Murrieta who turned away busloads of illegals that were headed to their town.

Whatever the means of bringing a solution are they begin and end with the law. What will Americans do now? Complain or act?
