Charles Barkley: Ferguson Looters are “Scumbags” – Not Real Black People

‘Tis the season of football and soon to follow basketball. As we have already witnessed, members of the St. Louis Rams football team jumped onto the playing field with their hands up in a gesture of solidarity with the Ferguson protesters. How special. Thugs supporting thugs – it has been reported that many of these “sympathizers” have less that stellar backgrounds. Is this what America has become – champions of the rule of “thugocracy?”

Those rioting, looting and committing crimes in “protest” of the Michael Brown/Darren Wilson incident then the subsequent finding of the grand jury are thugs, criminals and no group to be supported.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Maybe the sports fans, who can’t tear themselves away from the sports pages and channels long enough to actually read factual information, will take heed to what NBA great Charles Barkley had to say regarding the event occurring in Ferguson.

Barkley recently appeared on “97.5 the Fanatic” in Philadelphia. Referring to those rioting in Ferguson as a result of the grand jury decision not to indict former officer Darren Wilson, Barkley identified these “protesters” as not being “real black people” and called them what they truly are – “scumbags.”

The former 76er told listeners of the show, “them jackasses who are looting – those aren’t real black people, those are scumbags.”

Wonder how long it will take before Barkley gets labeled as an “Uncle Tom” or “sellout” from the “thugocrats” headed by Sharpton and Jackson? Wonder how long before Barkley gets cast as “trying to be white?”

Barkley, himself, stated that even he was still “learning details about the grand jury investigation” saying, “We live in quick story media, social networking situation. I’m hearing things today I never heard at all.”

And, you won’t Charles; at least not from the lamestream enemedia since it doesn’t go along with the agenda of race-baiting, causing civil unrest and promoting chaos across the nation.

Barkley stated that he wasn’t declaring who was right or wrong only that he was hearing the “true story” that resulted from the grand jury investigation.

In regards to police officers, Barkley had this to say, “We have to be really careful with the cops man, because if it wasn’t for the cops we would be living in the wild, wild West in our neighborhoods. We can’t pick out certain incidentals that don’t go our way and act like the cops are all bad.”

“Do you know how bad some of these neighborhoods would be if it wasn’t for the cops?” he added.

As an aside to Barkley’s comments, it is also the unalienable right of the people to bear arms, engage in self-defense, and protect their property that also prevents crime as law enforcement cannot be everywhere.

Barkley is correct in his statement that law enforcement officers are not all bad. There are good officers out there who are interested in performing their duties accordingly. However, many in America are swift to place blame on law enforcement due to the alarming rate of militarization of our local police forces. In many cases, changes in local law enforcement agency policies have resulted in gross violations of the unalienable rights of many individuals. However, generalizations cannot be made and each incident must be evaluated objectively, not emotionally. It has become difficult to do so when government agendas abound and the media has been quick to “suck up” the government rhetoric.

With regard to the lamestream enemedia, an old saying my Dad is fond of comes to mind: “They’d fly backwards and suck a mule’s butt for a morning glory.”

How many will actually “hear” what Barkley is saying? It’s the old “look before you leap” advice that so many of our parents taught us as children.

Now, Charles Barkley is no saint by any means. In 2008, Barkley was arrested in Arizona under the suspicion of drunk driving while attempting to solicit a woman for a sex act.
Barkley was also arrested in 1997 in Orange County, Florida, and charged with aggravated battery and resisting arrest.

Many would say that Barkley’s tainted past would discredit his comments and assessments on the “protesters” and riots in Ferguson. Well, if that is the case, then many should look at the credibility of comments, assessments and statements made by Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Eric Holder, Barack Hussein Obama, Lois Lerner and any member of Congress who has committed any type of crime, including so-called “white collar” crime. The only difference between Barkley and any of these individuals is that Barkley was caught, arrested and punished for his transgressions whereas these others are allowed to continue to operate with impunity.

The message Barkley has sent may not be palatable to those who seek to operate according to agendas; but, it is a relevant message none the less. Those who revere sports figures and hang on their every word or gesture will discount Barkley’s message because of his transgressions and disregard the transgressions of those St. Louis Rams players. Why? It is because those Ram players are going along with the Ferguson agenda. Liberals operate on hypocrisy – rules for everyone but them.

Barkley’s comments do not fit with the “oppressed” black agenda or “racial disparity” or “white cops killing blacks” propaganda promoted by the likes of Sharpton, Jackson, Obama, Holder and liberal pundits. All of these “instigators” turn a blind eye to black on black crime, black on white crime and the incident that happened with Dillon Taylor in Utah. These do not fit the agenda.

However, truth is truth, even when you don’t like it or don’t want to hear it.
