Congress Pushes to Require Women to Register for Draft

America’s servants, ie. Representatives, have gone and done the unthinkable. Following the push to put women in combat, a bill has been introduced that requires females in America to register to be drafted into the military.

The Washington Times reports:

Members of the House Armed Services committee passed the measure as part of the panel’s version of the defense spending bill for fiscal year 2017, according to the Associated Press.

After a lengthy, and at times heated debate, the legislation only passed by a slim two vote margin with the bill’s main sponsor California Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter actually voting against the measure during the House defense spending bill markup on Wednesday.

Hunter, along with former SEAL and Montana Republican Rep. Ryan Zinke, initially proposed the plan to require women to register for the draft in Feburary, shortly after the Pentagon lifted its ban on female service members from serving in combat infantry units and special operations forces.

“It’s wrong and irresponsible to make wholesale changes to the way America fights its wars without the American people having a say on whether their daughters and sisters will be on the front lines of combat,” Hunter said at the time.

But on Wednesday, Hunter attempted unsuccessfully to sway committee members from backing the legislation, telling the House panel that the draft “is there to put bodies on the front lines to take the hill. The draft is there to get more people to rip the enemies’ throats out and kill them.”

According to California Democrat Rep. Jackie Spier, “If we want equality in this country, if we want women to be treated precisely like men are treated and that they should not be discriminated against, we should be willing to support a universal conscription.”

Spier is a part of the problem. I’m guessing that she will not be selected to go fight unconstitutional wars in foreign lands that have absolutely nothing to do with national defense.

This is a serious problem and let me say for the record that if such a bill passes, my daughters will sign up for the draft over my dead body! I already disapprove of men signing up for a draft. That is not part of a free society. It is unconstitutional and it is unbiblical.

First, consider that the Constitution specifically states in the Thirteenth Amendment:

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

The draft is in clear violation of the Amendment with regards to this protection because it forces men into the slavery and involuntary servitude of the federal government to be used as fodder for their unconstitutional wars. I won’t run and I wouldn’t advise my children to run, but rather to stand and fight against such tyranny should they determine to draft my children in such a manner. The Browns are more than willing to defend ourselves, our neighbors and our sovereign state of South Carolina. We are not willing to be used in wars driven by corporate profits to the detriment of the rights of the American people.

Consider the Biblical provisions as well. When Israel went to war, here were the stipulations that God put down for those who would engage in battle. The come from Deuteronomy 20.

“When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.  So it shall be, when you are on the verge of battle, that the priest shall approach and speak to the people.  And he shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel:  Today you are on the verge of battle with your enemies.  Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them; for the Lord is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.” Deut. 20:1-4

The next section points out those who should return home rather than be a part of the militia.

“Then the officers shall speak to the people, saying, ‘What man is there who has built a new house and has not dedicated it?  Let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle and another man dedicate it.  And also what man is there who has planted a vineyard and has not eaten of it?  Let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle and another man eat of it.  And what man is there who is betrothed to a woman and has not married her?  Let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle and another man marry her.'” Deut. 20:5-7

It even includes those who are cowards.

“The officers shall speak further to the people and say, ‘What man is there who is fearful and fainthearted?  Let him go and return to his house, lest the heart of his brethren faint like his heart.’  And so it shall be, when the officers have finished speaking to the people, that they shall make captains of the armies to lead the people.” Deut. 20:8-9

The pretended law that requires men to sign up for the draft in clear violation of the Constitution has been upheld by the Supreme Court in 1981. This is par for a Supreme Court that has shown itself to be unconstitutional in its rulings time and again.

The issue here is really based on a free society, not one that enslaves its citizens for a war machine.
