DC Madam’s Attorney Claims to Have Information that He Says Will Impact 2016 Presidential Race – Well, Put Up or Shut Up!

Once again, we have people saying they have information, which I assume is related to the gossip about Senator Ted Cruz allegedly being involved in multiple adulteries. The late Deborah Jeane Palfrey’s attorney Blair Sibley claims to have information in the form of phone records which he says will impact the 2016 presidential race.

The Hill reports:

A former attorney for the “D.C. Madam” is asking the Supreme Court to let him release phone records from Deborah Palfrey’s escort service, saying they could affect the 2016 presidential election, WTOP reported.

The records include customer names, addresses and social security numbers.

Montgomery Blair Sibley is not permitted to release Palfrey’s records because of a judge’s 2007 restraining order.

Sibley filed an application Monday requesting he be released from the restraining order.

According to U.S. News, Sibley said, “Time is of the essence because people are casting votes in primaries and caucuses. I believe this information is relevant to that political discourse.”

Sibley believes the information is important for the people to see. In fact, he believes it so much that he said he would release the information is the Supreme Court fails to hear his request.

“In that event, Sibley will simply release publicly the Verizon Wireless Subpoena Return records containing the names and addresses of eight hundred fifteen Washington, D.C. clients of the D.C. Madam’s escort service,” he wrote.

Well, frankly, I’ve said what I think needs to be out front about this in a previous article. For those who continue to claim that I support Trump, understand that I was defending Cruz against accusations and innuendo that are purely speculative at this point. Anonymous has said they would out him in a particular time frame. Their time frame has come and gone and it appears they were issuing nothing but an empty threat. Other reporters claim to have “the thing,” an alleged video of Cruz leaving a hotel on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a women who is not his wife, and still no one has released the alleged video. And just recently, there are claims that a press email tied to his senate office is on the adultery website Ashley Madison.

I just have one thing to say, if there is evidence of adultery, then please provide the evidence and quit talking about releasing something that doesn’t get released! As far as Ashley Madison goes, my goodness, I’m sure there are tons of people who that website and others like it spam all the time. Just because they have an email address does not indicate the person used their services. If they have an account, that is something quite different, and don’t you think that would have come out when that bombshell exploded last year?

Look, the issue of adultery is a serious one. It is not just between the man and his wife when a man is seeking office. It goes to the heart of his character. As I pointed out before, if a man cannot be trusted to be faithful to his wife, who is the closest person to him in his life, how can he be trusted to represent you and be faithful to his oath of office? Additionally, we know our military holds a very high standard when it comes to marital faithfulness as well, and for the same reason. He can’t be trusted. While we know that Donald Trump has engaged in such activities, and that should be taken into account, those did occur almost two decades ago. Perhaps he has changed, perhaps not. I’m certainly not trying to cover for his infidelities. However, so far, I’m still waiting on evidence of accusations against Ted Cruz (Deut. 17:6; 19:15; Matt. 18:16, 20; 2 Cor. 13:1; 1 Tim. 5:19; Heb. 10:28).

Should they prove to be true, I would expect every person that supports him and has called out Donald Trump for his immorality to do the same for Mr. Cruz. Otherwise, it’s nothing more than hypocrisy.

Don’t buy into the lie that adultery is no big deal. Fidelity to one’s mate is a major character issue that has consequences no matter if the man is being considered as an elder or deacon at his church (1 Tim. 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11), or whether he is seeking political office (Exodus 18:19-23; cf. Rom. 13:1-5).
