Dhimmi TV: Why They Blew Up “Homeland”

Mandy Patinkin knows that his show “Homeland” hasn’t always shown Muslims in the best light — but he says that is changing with the award-winning show’s sixth season.

For those of us who have been watching Homeland for years, the new season is like a really bad acid trip. Homeland was the only show that addressed the third rail in the entertainment business — jihad. If, say, a time-traveler were to assess the life and times of this era and the realities of living in it by watching TV and movies, jihad and sharia would be non-existent. It was never like this — the Nazis, the Japanese, even the Viet Cong were depicted in books and movies in the past. Today, the terrorists are Serbian (!), Russian, even 9/11 family members, but not jihadis.

Despite the horrors of over thirty thousand deadly attacks since 9/11, the hundreds of thousands dead, the trillions in homeland security apparatus, Hollywood and their European counterparts go out of their way not to insult the enemy hell-bent on our destruction. It’s astonishing.

Homeland was different. The enemy was Islamic terrorists. Yes, they would fudge and talk about “hijacking” Islam, but that was as good as anyone ever got it. And because Homeland was different it became the target for Islamic supremacists and their left-wing lapdogs.  Unable to withstand charges of islamophobia and laughably ‘racism’ (Islam is not a race) that were lodged at creators of the show. they caved. Brutally, absurdly. and irrationally. The show is unwatchable.

Mandy Patinkin said he knows that his show “Homeland” hasn’t always shown Muslims in the best light — but he says that is changing show’s sixth season. Changing? It is an altogether different show with the same name. The show died with Peter Quinn last season (oh, yeah, the brilliant Quinn is back this season as a blithering, blathering, homeless nut.)

According to Patinkin, “we’re part of the problem.” Patinkin praised the Muslim community for its contributions to the world’s civilization and said, “If you watch the whole thing as a whole, especially this season, the sixth season, you’ll see who the bad guys really are and you may have surprises in store for you.”

Patinkin fails to mention the disgusting scene in Israel, where he spews a vicious anti-Israeli tirade at his own sister (who is Jewish). And if that wasn’t bad enough, the Iranians are depicted as the good, cooperative guys that the Israelis are smearing. They are not cheating on their nuclear weapons program, the Israelis are framing the Iranians, staging hoaxes to make it appear that way. I kid you not.

The sixth season did such a bloodcurdling pivot, loud moans and cries of whiplash became a rallying cry among viewers. No show has had such a nonsensical jolt since a long dead Bobby Ewing kicked off the 1986 -87 season of Dallas in the shower. The producers had  decided to bring him back from the dead –by having it turn out that the entirety of the previous season, all 31 episodes, was a dream in Pam’s head.

Pam’s dream is more believable than Claire’s law firm.

Not only is Islamic terror no longer an important story line, it’s not a story line at all. The chief protagonist, CIA office Carrie Mathison, played by actress Claire Danes, no longer works for the CIA.  This season opens in Carrie’s new Brooklyn loft space. a law firm she’s founded that specializes in cases defending young Muslims (schoolkids)  who have been falsely accused of jihad-terror related crimes simply because they are Muslims. Her clients have been – wait for it – deliberately entrapped by the FBI.

I don’t know what’s more ridiculous – that she heads a law firm and she’s not even a lawyer or that jihad is a fiction manufactured to prosecute Muslims.

It gets better  …..or should I say worse.

Not only are poor Muslims set-up by the FBI, the real bombers are…… the government. Yes, the CIA is setting bombs off in the streets of New York in order to set up Muslims and make them looks bad.

They should rename the show. The Wretched World of Disney. Pure, nonsensical fantasy – and not in a good way.

PATINKIN SAYS ‘HOMELAND’ TRYING TO IMPROVE MUSLIM DEPICTION

By Zara Eldriege, Associated Press, March 7, 2017

LONDON (AP) — Mandy Patinkin knows that his show “Homeland” hasn’t always shown Muslims in the best light — but he says that is changing with the award-winning show’s sixth season.

“It’s deeply important to me,” he said in an interview this week with The Associated Press.

“In all kinds of entertainment – movies, television – there are always the bad guys; the cowboys and Indians, then the Russians were the bad guys, the Nazis were the bad guys. Now it seems like Muslim ‘terrorists’ are the bad guys,” he said. “So, inadvertently, because it’s an action show, it’s an on-the-edge-of-your-seat political drama that ‘Homeland’ is, unintentionally we were not helping the Muslim community and we take responsibility for it. And I know I can speak for the writers when they want to right that error that happened because of storytelling.”

The Showtime show, which also stars Claire Danes, is highly acclaimed but has also been criticized for its depiction of Muslims as terrorists. In the new season, Danes’ character Carrie Mathison is back in the United States, helping American Muslims.

“We’re part of the problem, but we also desperately want to be part of the cure and we are working toward that in our story lines,” he said. “If you watch the whole thing as a whole — when you read a novel just don’t read one chapter — if you watch the whole thing as a whole, especially this season, the sixth season, you’ll see who the bad guys really are and you may have surprises in store for you,” he said.

Patinkin, who also praised the Muslim community for its contributions to the world’s civilization, is trying to make a difference in his own life as well. He works with refugees as part of his work with the International Rescue Committee, and he urged President Trump to be more welcoming to people displaced from war-torn countries. Trump yesterday revised his initial travel ban to six countries instead of seven, but they are all from Muslim-majority nations, and it temporarily shuts down America’s refugee program.

“He wants people to like him and to like America and to make America great again. America will be made great again by nourishing and encouraging people’s moral and ethical nature. Encouraging their human-beingness, not their fear,” he said. “I beg the leaders of the world, of the United States, of the European community, to stop being afraid, to start working together, to listen to the lives of these souls that are no different than your own family, who are desperately in need and to work in solidarity with their moral and ethical code and nature that I know they have.”
