Donald Trump Rushed Off Stage in Reno
“I would like to thank the United States Secret Service and the law enforcement resources in Reno and the state of Nevada for their fast and professional response. I also want to thank the many thousands of people present for their unwavering and unbelievable support. Nothing will stop us – we will make America great again!” — Trump Campaign after the Secret Service Rushed Trump off the Stage in Reno, Nevada.
A terrifying moment took place on Saturday night when the Secret Service flew into action in an effort to protect GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump from a very real threat just a few feet away from him. While giving a speech in Reno, Nevada a disturbance erupted in the front of the crowd and the Secret Service rushed to Mr. Trump’s defense. They assembled around the presidential candidate and hustled him back stage and into safety…
Shortly after the police moved in and took the man who had created the disturbance into custody. Mr. Trump has had several (very public) close calls during this campaign season, more than any other candidate in recent history. Some of this is likely due to his bombastic persona and how divided the electorate currently is.
Thankfully, Mr. Trump is okay and the Secret Service proved to be as professional as we’ve come to expect them to be.
