DonaldJTrump.com Reposts His “Muslim Ban” Link To His Website

Following the election of Donald Trump, a link was removed on his website to his December 7 proposal titled, “Donald J. Trump statement on Preventing Muslim Immigration.” Does this mean he has changed his position on that? Not necessarily, but the question is, why remove it after being elected.

On December 7, 2015, following the San Bernardino attacks, President-elect Donald Trump released the following statement in which he called for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.”

(New York, NY) December 7th, 2015, — Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on. According to Pew Research, among others, there is great hatred towards Americans by large segments of the Muslim population. Most recently, a poll from the Center for Security Policy released data showing “25% of those polled agreed that violence against Americans here in the United States is justified as a part of the global jihad” and 51% of those polled, “agreed that Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Shariah.” Shariah authorizes such atrocities as murder against non-believers who won’t convert, beheadings and more unthinkable acts that pose great harm to Americans, especially women.

Mr. Trump stated, “Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension. Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine. Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life. If I win the election for President, we are going to Make America Great Again.” – Donald J. Trump

CBS reports:

After the Republican National Convention in July, Trump announced he was expanding the ban to include suspending immigration from “any nation that has been compromised by terrorism until such time as proven vetting mechanisms have been put in place.”

During the October 9th presidential debate, Trump told the moderators that the ban had “morphed” into “extreme vetting,” something he has touted as a way to fight terrorism

Part of that vetting process could include an ideological test, he said in a speech in August. “We should only admit in this country those who share our values and respect our people … the time is overdue to develop a new screening test.”

Now, personally, I agree with Trump’s statement. However, earlier today, I read the reports of how it was pulled down by several sources including Reuters, Mic.com, CBS and others. I actually had to Google where the exact link was supposed to be. When I clicked on the link, the post was gone.

The removal was praised by Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal.

Samer Khalaf, president of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee,”We thank him for removing those words,” Khalaf said, referring to the Muslim ban proposal, “but you know what, words are one thing, actions are something totally different.”

Not so fast there Khalaf. Sometime between 1:30 and 2:30pm EST, the post was back in place. Attempts to get an answer from the Trump campaign could not be obtained.

Reuters also reported that this is not the first time that changes have been made to policies. According to that report, it was Trump’s healthcare plan that was changed and when contacted for explanation, the campaign put the original police page back up.

I am one that hopes Trump will follow through with his assessment on this particular matter. I have called for a halt on Islamic immigration in the past as well, and even began a petition to stop it.

However, one must also consider the issue of Islam being accepted at all in the united States. The First Amendment is not there to protect any and every form of religion that is contrary to the God and the Bible upon which the foundations of our country were erected. As a friend of mine has aptly said, “There is no God given right to worship false gods.”

Scripture recounts what happened in Israel when foreign god were allowed in their midst.

They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel? –Judges 5:8

Let’s start preaching the true Christian Gospel and deal with the false gods and ideologies in our land lest we be destroyed.
