“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a FREE state the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” -Article 2 of The Bill of Rights
Americans should never get rid of our guns. Our Founding Forefathers established the Second Amendment to protect the right to keep and bear arms just in case government turned bad, you could protect you and yours. Boy, has government gone bad!
Check out some of these quotes from our founders about guns:
“No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.” – Thomas Jefferson
“A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined.” -George Washington
“The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. A well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the best and most natural defense of a free country.” -James Madison
“What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms!” -Thomas Jefferson
Our Founders fought off a tyrant named King George and eventually won their freedom. Don’t you think it’s a pretty good idea to keep and bear arms and listen to what our Founding Forefathers had to say? The Founders knew what they were talking about when they told us to keep and bear arms!
Let me ask you a question: Why do you think Adolf Hitler could kill 6 million Jews? It was because the Jews were not armed to protect themselves! If the Jews had been armed, Hitler would never have been able to kill millions of them.
Why do you think people like Eric Holder are trying to get rid of guns? That’s a good question, isn’t it? Check out this video of Eric Holder talking about brainwashing people into thinking differently about guns.
Here are some quotes by tyrants from the past who also tried to disarm the people:
“If the opposition disarms, well and good. If it refuses to disarm, we shall disarm it ourselves.” -Josef Stalin
“War can only be abolished through war, and in order to get rid of the gun it is necessary to take up the gun.” -Mao Zedong
“I do not want to be controlled by any superpower. I myself consider myself the most powerful figure in the world, and that is why I do not let any superpower control me.” -Idi Amin
In other words, if the people are armed I can’t control them!
To answer the question of guns, the only thing you need to remember is this: You have God given rights protected by the Constitution our founding forefathers established, not privileges from those who work for “We the people” (Exodus 18:21).
