If You are Faithful in Little, You’ll be Faithful in Much!

“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.” (Luke 16:10)

When you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in much.

Take a look at the life of David.  He was simply just a boy who took care of sheep. He was faithful with his everyday task of taking care of the sheep and running errands for his father.

One day, he was faithfully obeying his father’s command by riding to give his brothers, who were in battle, food when God changed his life. Little David killed a big giant named Goliath and soon thereafter he became the king of Israel (1 Samuel 17).

You see, David was faithful in the little things.  Therefore, God put him in charge of the big things. Once again, when your faithful in little, you’ll be faithful in much.

It is kinda like if you apply for a job at a restaurant, you might first be in charge of cleaning the bathroom.  However, if you are faithful with that, then you will gradually work your way up.  Again, if you are faithful in little, you will gradually be entrusted with more.

If God cannot trust you to be faithful with little things, how can He trust you to be faithful with big things?

I once went to this place where a guy that worked there said to one of the new people, “What do you do?” He said that he cleaned the bathrooms, and he said that everybody starts there.

The point is that this man is now one of the top people of this certain place, and he first started cleaning the bathrooms. He was faithful and he is now one of the main guys.

I remember watching a true story about a cook. His main goal was to become the top chef of this particular restaurant.  However, before he could do that, he had to be faithful with the little. He said that he would start at the bottom and gradually work his way up.

Always remember if your faithful with little, you’ll be faithful in much.
