More Fake Hate: Man Busted For Spray Painting Racist Graffiti On His Own Car

In another display of fake hate, a black man in Kansas has confessed to spray painting his own car with racist graffiti as a Halloween prank.

Last Wednesday, it was reported that the Riley County Police Department was investigating a car that was vandalized with the words “Date your own kind,” “Die boy,” “Come outside to get hanged,” and several racial profanities on all windows of the car and on two doors.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The crime, which happened sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. Wednesday outside an apartment complex, was quickly captured in pictures and uploaded to social media by a K-State student, Adriannte Etheridge.

Here’s what the car looked like.

The car belongs to Dauntarius Williams, 21, who admitted to spraying the racist graffiti on his own car.

The university has no record of Williams being a student.

Yet, The Mercury reports:

Williams made a statement on Facebook Wednesday condemning the people responsible and saying he would not retaliate. He has since deleted the post. Williams declined to speak with The Mercury.

The Kansas City Star reported Wednesday that Williams was a student. Williams told The Mercury Thursday morning he had not spoken with the Star. The Star updated its story to note the disparity.

Mercury reporters saw the car clean and parked in front of the apartment building on Thursday morning. Nobody answered the door at Williams’ apartment.

Since the incident, which Riley County police believe occurred between 1 and 4 a.m. Wednesday in an apartment parking lot less than a mile from campus, Williams has said on social media he is leaving the university and moving back to his home in California.

That’s actually quite interesting, don’t you think?  There’s no record of him being a student.  One paper reports he is a student, but there’s no record, according to the university, and then he writes on social media that he is leaving the university.  Well, you don’t leave something you are not a part of.

It gets worse.

The picture prompted condemnation on social media, the school increased security and the FBI got involved, opening a civil rights investigation.

After stirring up the people with his little fake hate, Williams confessed to doing the deed.

Steven Crowder grabbed a report that was pulled regarding Williams posting the pictures and then his apology.

The man who said someone covered his car with racist graffiti last week now says he did it himself, according to a statement from police Monday afternoon.

After the incident last week, Williams posted photos of the car on social media, and the pictures from his Snapchat spread and sparked outrage. People connected this incident to a string of other events, including one two weeks ago when a student posted a photo in white rain ponchos with pointed hoods with an allusion to the Ku Klux Klan.

“I would like to deeply apologize to the community. The whole situation got out of hand when it shouldn’t have even started. It was just a Halloween prank that got out of hand. I wish I could go back to that night but I can’t. I just want to apologize from the bottom of my heart for the pain and news I have brought you all,” Williams said.

Wilkerson said it was one of Williams’ neighbors who made the initial call to police. Wilkerson said that because of that and because Williams was “contrite and apologetic,” they decided it would be counterproductive to charge him.

The FBI took the lead on this case Thursday to investigate the incident as a hate crime, as there are no hate crime charges in Kansas.

He riled up an entire community with his prank and angered a lot of people.  He engaged in a crime against himself and blamed others, and then he had the audacity to link it to some form of racism.

Yet, he’ll face no charges and receive no punishment for his crime.

“While William’s mistake had a decidedly negative impact on the community, please recognize that he, like many of us when we were young, is a young man who made a mistake and is now doing his best to own up to it,” Brad Schoen, director of the police department, said.

A negative impact on the community? An FBI investigation?  Tightened security?  Almost an insurrection due to the racial nature of the crime?  And yet, police are not doing anything?

Rest assured, they would be doing something if there was a real person who vandalized the car, wouldn’t they?  You can bank on that!
