More Fake News from CNN: Invoking Nuclear Option on Gorsuch “Unprecedented,” “We’ve Never Seen This Before”

Google, Facebook, Twitter and others can try to shut us up, but we’re going to continue to expose the lies and fake news coming from the mainstream media, such as the latest from CNN regarding the Senate’s nuclear option over the confirmation of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court in the light of a Democrat filibuster.  CNN’s New Day Tuesday, anchors Alisyn Camerota and Chris Cuomo said that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s plan to activate the so-called “nuclear option” to avert a Democrat filibuster of Gorsuch is “unprecedented” and that “we’ve never seen it before.”  Other CNN talking heads also chimed in.

Here’s the fake news hosts perpetrating their propaganda.

“Democrats have now locked in enough support to be able to successfully filibuster Neil Gorsuch which essentially dares the Republicans to do what they have been threatening to do all along: invoke this so-called nuclear option changing long-standing Senate rules, getting Gorsuch through this week with a simple majority vote,” political correspondent Sunlen Serfaty said. “So far, Republicans are not backing down from that threat.”

And they should not back down.  They are the party in power.  They should stop leading from behind and actually lead in the matter.

However, while CNN hosts are claiming that this is unprecedented that is not entirely accurate.  Does anyone remember when Senator “Dirty” Harry Reid (D-NV) invoked the nuclear option to confirm some of Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah’s nominees?  While those were not nominees to the Supreme Court, the reality is that they did use the option and now they don’t like it when it is being turned on them.

“The judges become more ideological because you don’t have to reach across the aisle to get one vote any longer,” said RINO Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC).  “This is going to haunt the Senate, change the judiciary, and is so unnecessary.”

“But Democrats have been emboldened after Republicans refuse to hold a hearing last year for President Obama’s Supreme Court justice pick Merrick Garland,” Serfaty said.  “Meantime back on the Gorsuch battle, the wheels in motion will start turning on all of this today. At some point, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will move to end the vote. That will set up key procedural vote on Thursday. We suspect as we’ve been reporting that filibuster will not be defeated.”

I suspect Serfaty doesn’t know what she is talking about, and we may soon be vindicated on the matter.

Gorsuch is scheduled to be voted on for confirmation by Friday.
