Five Convicted Pedophile Inmates Turn NJ Prison Into Child Porn Market

Five convicted pedophiles have turned a New Jersey prison into a child pornography market while serving their sentences, according to federal prosecutors.

The New York Post reports:

The inmates, all imprisoned at the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix for child porn trafficking convictions, are now charged by federal prosecutors with using contraband cellphones and micro SD cards to trade and sell the images on federal property.

They downloaded the images from the “dark web” and traded them to each other and at least one confidential informant who was himself a child porn convict, according to the criminal complaint against them.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The inmates involved have been identified as:

  • Anthony Jeffries, 31, of Orange, Virginia
  • Brian J. McKay, 46, of Brookhaven, Pennsylvania
  • Jordan T. Allen, 30, of Plain City, Ohio
  • Christopher D. Roffler, 29, of Virginia Beach, Virginia
  • Erik M. Smith, 35, of Iron Mountain, Michigan

“These five defendants, each having been previously convicted and imprisoned for trafficking in child pornography, have allegedly continued while in prison to trade and profit from the exploitation and sexual abuse of innocent children,” Acting US Attorney William Fitzpatrick said in a statement.

According to a recorded conversation by a confidential informant, he asked one of the men, “There’s no adult s—, right? It’s all just ‘CP,’ (Child Porn).”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,” the inmate answered. “I don’t waste my time with that,” he said, laughing.

Payment involved the use of inmates’ family and friends who would exchange postage stamps and “burner” cellphone rentals.  The cellphones were available for rent at a rate of between $4 and $10 an hour.

“Is two hours gonna be enough to see everything on there?” the confidential informant asked referencing the use of a micro SD card.

“Not if you do it the way you I think do it, which is watch it from beginning to end,” the inmate answers, adding, “There’s a couple [videos] that are, um, like thirty minutes, maybe an hour.”

Now, here comes the punch line.

These new charges the men are faced with carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum of 40 years in prison.

Do you think that really scares any of these guys?  Do you think it will rehabilitate them?

The reality is that it will just encourage their bad behavior and it will give them plenty of time to construct new ways of selling their vice and exploiting innocent children.  Furthermore, they will be clothed, housed and fed at your expense, America.  And you know what?  Many Americans, sadly, think that is justice!  Yet, they shun the death penalty.
