Gun Control Advocate and Singer-Actress Nancy Sinatra: “NRA Members Should Face Firing Squad”

The eldest daughter of Frank and Nancy Sinatra, singer and actress Nancy Sinatra, has come out and voiced her disgust with members of the National Rifle Association after the Las Vegas shooting, and said they should have to face a firing squad.

The 77-year-old Sinatra Tweeted and then deleted, “The murderous members of the NRA should face a firing squad.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

This is a typical response from those who are advocates of gun confiscation, and make no mistake, calls for gun control are calls for gun confiscation.

“It’s always the right time for common sense.,” Sinatra tweeted following the shooting.

She even went so far as to claim that President Trump was complicit in the murders of those who were killed in Vegas despite the fact that it was the Obama administration’s ATF who approved bump stocks that were allegedly used in the shooting.

“He is complicit in the murders of 59 innocent people,” she tweeted with a hastag #ImpeachTrump.

The amazing thing from people like Sinatra is that they call for guns to be used on people who only support that lawful use of guns as defenders of life.

This isn’t anything new, of course.

In 2012, following the Sandy Hook shooting, I reported that liberals called for the murder of the NRA president, its members and the repeal of the Second Amendment.

Here are some of the tweets from these murderous individuals.

Then, there were the calls for the repeal of the Second Amendment.

Still, there were even more tweets at that time against the NRA and calls for more laws that will never stop the crime.

Calls are now coming for the banning of bump stocks, even though you can bump fire without a bump stock.  Of course, the woman leading that charge is the same woman that would ban all guns if she could.

But would banning guns actually reduce gun violence and crime? Well we do have a model to look at, and it’s the same model I point to when people want to start talking socialized medicine, it’s the United Kingdom. On the heels of the Dunblane massacre in Scotland in 1996 where 16 young children and their teacher were killed in the gym of their school by Thomas Hamilton, the cries went up just like they are going up in America now and ultimately a proposal was put forth banning all handguns, except .22 caliber target pistols.

Three months after the Dunblane massacre in March 1996, there was a national firearms amnesty that saw nearly 23,000 firearms and 700,000 rounds of ammunition surrendered.

Did it work? Actually, it made things worse.

In 2003, just 7 years after the ban, the London Telegraph reported that firearms offenses have more than doubled since Dunblane.

Can you guess why this didn’t work? If you said because now only the criminals have guns, then you get a gold star!

Let’s make one thing clear. While cities like Chicago and New York City have some of the toughest gun laws and we have seen what they produce, many of you might be surprised that Connecticut is ranked fifth in the nation for gun control laws by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Violence!

Time after time, when less unlawful laws are passed, people less safe then when their right to keep and bear  arms are respected by government.

For instance, take a look at the model city of Kennesaw, Georgia where gun ownership is mandated.

In 1982 the city of Kennesaw passed an ordinance [Sec 34-21] that read:

(a) In order to provide for the emergency management of the city, and further in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the city and its inhabitants, every head of household residing in the city limits is required to maintain a firearm, together with ammunition therefore.

(b)Exempt from the effect of this section are those heads of households who suffer a physical or mental disability which would prohibit them from using such a firearm. Further exempt from the effect of this section are those heads of households who are paupers or who conscientiously oppose maintaining firearms as a result of beliefs or religious doctrine, or persons convicted of a felony.

This was in response to the town of Morton Grove, IL, which is located near Chicago, another city that wants to keep guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens, which sought a handgun ban. Notice the ordinance does provide exemptions of certain people, but overall they make sure that each homeowner has the ability to protect themselves.

David Kopel, a gun rights activist, claims that the law reduced the rate of burglaries in the first year. The number of burglaries prior to the ordinance were 65. The following years, 1983-84, showed dramatic drops in burglaries down to 26 and then 11. Newsmax also confirms the drop that Kopel claims.

The city now proclaims on its website,

Kennesaw once again was in the news on May 1, 1982, when the city unanimously passed a law requiring “every head of household to maintain a firearm together with ammunition.” After passage of the law, the burglary rate in Kennesaw declined and even today, the City has the lowest crime rate in Cobb County.

Gary DeMar, who lives near Kennesaw, writes about the virtually non-existent murder rate,

In fact, from 1982 through 2009, Kennesaw had been nearly murder free with one murder occurring in 2007.

There were three murders in 2010 committed by the same man in what is described as a “school safety zone,” an area extending 1,000 feet from any school, including adult colleges and technical schools. This means that even though Kennesaw has the most liberal gun laws in the United States, employees at the facility where the murders were committed could not have a gun on the premises.

All of this and Kennesaw, Georgia is nothing like the stories of the Wild West, which truthfully really weren’t that wild.

Compare a city like Kennesaw to a liberal haven such as Nancy Sinatra would enjoy, New York City, a place where the mayor says that police should “go on strike” until people demand more gun control laws from their legislatures. In 2010 alone, New York City saw 515 murders! As of May 18, 2012, there were already 136 murders in the city, and if we go back to 1990 there were 2,245 murders. Compare that to DeMar’s numbers cited for Kennesaw where over the course of nearly two decades they had only one murder and then they saw three in a “gun free zone.”

Not only is the murder rate an issue in New York City a problem, but their ridiculous gun laws turn law-abiding citizens into criminals.

I confirmed with Kennesaw Police Department that they employ 63 officers, while New York City has a small army with 35,000 uniformed officers in its counterterrorism unit alone.

While I’m not a huge fan of the NRA because of their history of compromise, but do support them when they are uncompromising, the call for members of the NRA to face a firing squad not only demonstrates the hypocrisy of people like Nancy Sinatra, but also demonstrates that what was in the heart of the alleged Shooter Stephen Paddock resides in her heart too.

Perhaps, we should keep our eyes on Ms. Sinatra to make sure she doesn’t lose it and go on a murderous rampage against NRA members.
