Why Do Hillary Clinton & Her Staffers Still Have Top Security Clearance Access to Sensitive Govt Info?

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and some of her staffers continue to possess security clearances to access sensitive government information, and apparently, those clearances may be pulled as the State Department has opened a formal inquiry into whether or not the former secretary mishandled classified information while she was in office.

Fox News reports:

The State Department has opened a formal inquiry into whether former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her aides mishandled classified information while she was the nation’s top diplomat, Fox News has learned. Despite being under investigation, Clinton and her staffers still have security clearances to access sensitive government information.

The department’s investigation aims to determine whether Clinton and her closest aides violated government protocols by using her private server to receive, hold and transmit classified and top-secret government documents. The department declined to say when its inquiry began, but it follows the conclusion of the FBI’s probe into the matter, which did not result in any actions being taken against Clinton or any of her aides.

Depending on the outcome of the current State Department inquiry, Clinton and her aides could have their access to sensitive government documents terminated.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

First, why does there need to be a “formal inquiry”?  Don’t we already have the former FBI director, James Comey, publicly stating that she violated the law?

Don’t we have actual email documentation of classified documents that came from her illegal private email server?  Of course, she and her staff misused and mishandled classified information!  My goodness, her own housemaid mishandled it!

However, what strikes me most is that these people, who have already shown to be guilty of the things which this inquiry has been formed, still possess security clearance to government information.  That should have ceased when they left office.  There is no need for them to have access to that information once they are out of office.  If the need should arise that they have to answer questions about something, fine, but until then, the security clearance should be revoked upon their termination or resignation.

Thousands of emails were retrieved from Clinton’s illegal email server have been retrieved.

Chris Farrell of Judicial Watch, a government watchdog group that has filed numerous lawsuits to obtain information regarding the Clinton email scandal, said that Clinton and her “circle of national security criminals” shouldn’t have security clearance access to classified information, and I couldn’t agree more.

“Their conduct has cost them that privileged position of special trust and confidence,” Farrell said.

“This flagrant double standard for the gang that exposed Top Secret Codeword material to the Russians, Chinese and others is both offensive and deeply corrosive to the intelligence community,” Farrell said. “There is no better evidence that when it comes to Hillary Clinton and her côtèrie — laws are for the little people.”
