For the first time in my life, I really have a deep fear for our country. After watching the presidential debates, I realized this more than ever before. On the one hand, we have the criminal Jezebel (1 Kings 21:25; Isaiah 3:12), who should not even be up there in the first place, in the form of Hillary Clinton; and on the other, we have an immoral, prideful man (Proverbs 6:16-17) in the form of Donald Trump, who does not see his need to repent before God. We have approximately 319,000,000 people in our country and these are the only two options to choose from? Why? It’s because these are the two options that the American people have accepted.
Our government has become absolutely corrupt from top to bottom and it is up to “We the People” to lawfully fix the problem. What is so absolutely scary to me is that people are so blind and gullible that they will just listen to a smooth talking politician like Hillary Clinton and say, “Yeah that sounds good” without looking at any of the fruit of her life! They’ll watch a debate or two, and see someone smiling, and telling them everything they want to hear, and just assume that that is the choice for them. Forget about all the corruption, dead bodies, and the fact that she is an outright bold face liar! The Bible says that we know men (And women) by their fruit. (Matthew 7:20) What has been the fruit of this woman’s life?
Then there’s Trump, who has all the ammunition in the world that he needs to smack her down and it he doesn’t even use it! As one reporter named Liz Peek put it, “On so many fronts he should have been able to wipe that smug grin off Hillary’s face; he did not rise to the challenge.” I have never put my trust in any one of the presidential candidates, but in God alone (Proverbs 3:5-6). Only Jesus Christ can save America, but I fear that judgment will have to take place in so great a degree before that would even take place!
There is no true repentance in America for over 56 million babies that we have brutally slaughtered in this country. Remember, God hates hands that shed innocent blood (Proverbs 6:16-19). We’ve spit against Heaven and given God the finger through homosexuality and all sorts of immorality and abominable works. All one has to do is turn on the television
The Lord has poured out His goodness upon this nation and we have corrupted ourselves to the core like Sodom and Gomorrah of old. America has turned its back on God and created an idol image of a God that each individual likes that does not exist (Exodus 20:4). We have allowed judgment to be turned backwards in this nation (Isaiah 59:14) so much so, that now we have gotten to the point where what was wrong in this country is now viewed right and what was once right is now viewed as being wrong. God help us! GOD help us.
If you have not done all that you can do to fight against corruption, tyranny, immorality, and the wickedness in our nation… be afraid.
Remember, as Thomas Jefferson put it, “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever.”
Jesus Christ is the only Savior of America, not any presidential candidate on this earth. Remember that this election season, and always.
