Hypocrisy, it’s what the world often wants to point out about the Church. They say one thing while doing the complete opposite, but that isn’t relegated to the Church. No, in fact, if the truth was known most people inside and outside the Church are guilty of hypocrisy in some area. However Jesus’ own words were full of condemnation for those hypocrites within the Church (Matthew 23).
“People always like to call out the hypocrisies of Christians, but friends, you need to keep in mind that nobody rebuked the hypocrisies of those professors more than Christ Himself did,” said Sons of Liberty Radio show host Bradlee Dean last week. “Now, what’s your excuse? You have the same Bible!”
Dean was taking on those who want to use alleged “hypocrisies” of Christians for their dismal of the God of the Bible and the claims of Jesus Christ.
“It’s a major contradiction,” he added. “It’s an oxy-moron that people who stay away from the Church complain about Christians that are hypocrites. Well, you have the same opportunity to read the same book, so why don’t you be a man… man up or woman up and read the Bible and actually live out through your lifestyle to correct their wrongs? What makes you any different than those you complain about?”
He then went on to answer his own question, “Absolutely nothing.”
“You’re going to both end up in the same, exact place,” Dean warned. “I’d rather go to Church with a bunch of hypocrites than end up in Hell with them.”
Dean said that 90% of “useful idiots” (those who stand on the outside pointing fingers at the Church) see absolutely nothing wrong with murdering a baby. In speaking of supposed abortion “law,” Dean said, “It never has been law, it never will be law.”
But how can that be? Don’t many state have “laws” on the book that legalize the murder of children in the womb? Of course, they pen words and call it law, but because it does not comport with God’s Law, it is nothing more than lawlessness.
Ask yourself something here. When Hitler legalized the taking of possessions of Jews in Nazi Germany, was that law? When America had “laws” regarding slaves, was that really law? How about prohibition? Was that law? No! Those things are “pretended legislation,” not law.
William Blackstone wrote, “No enactment of man can be considered law unless it conforms to the law of God.”
Blackstone went on to elaborate further, “Man…must necessarily be subject to the laws of his Creator, for he is entirely a dependent being…And, consequently, as man depends absolutely upon his Maker for everything, it is necessary that he should in all points conform to his Maker’s will.”
“You have a government that sanctions the murder of the innocent in the womb and you go to sleep at night,” Dean said.
He went on to elaborate on the useful idiots saying, “Eighty-six percent of these useful idiots seldom attend Church and for the most part I don’t blame them, but the fact of the matter is that if you see a wrong with one of those hypocrites that means God has given you the grace to right the wrong. So what are you doing about the wrong?”
“You’re living the wrong along with the hypocrite and that makes it a right?” Dean asked. “Since when do two wrongs make a right? They don’t!”
He then concluded, “There is no excuse friends. When you read Scripture, there is no gainsay towards the things of the Spirit of God.”
So, here is the challenge to hypocrites both inside and outside the Church, when are you going to stop making excuses for your disobedience towards God and start obeying Him? Stop pointing the finger about hypocrisy, while you are involved in it yourself and do what is right and all will be well (Jer. 7:23). However, continue in the ways you are going and you do nothing but stir up the wrath of God for the Day of Judgment (Rom. 2:5).
