ISIS-Aligned Group Beheads German Sailor

All of Merkel’s kowtowing and submission to  Islam has not garnered any more favorable treatment for her countrymen who fall into the clutches of the jihadis. We are all kaffirs after all.

I suspect Merkel’s head will roll (figuratively of course) in the coming German election.

The world has become inured to these daily acts of savagery in the cause of Islam. It’s striking. The horror at the beheading of Daniel Pearl is now met with a shrug. The West’s accommodation to Islamic demands and mores has made us less civilized. Leftist elites at the EU, the Democrat party, and socialist leaders in the West (ie Canada)  et al advance the most savage ideologies under the guise of “love” and “diversity” and “tolerance” — importing cultures where love and diversity and tolerance are nonexistent.

A German sailor who had survived two months as a hostage of Somali pirates nearly a decade ago was beheaded in the Philippines by Islamic terrorists, a short video released Monday showed, after a deadline to pay the man’s ransom passed.

Jurgen Gustav Kantner’s beheading was the first murder of a hostage by the terror group Abu Sayyaf since two Canadians were killed in June. Officials said they had sketchy information Kantner was killed because he was sick, Reuters reported.

A man has been identified as a German hostage named Jurgen Kantner

The video reposted by the militancy-monitoring group Site showed a machete-wielding militant kill the 70-year-old German hostage.

Site identified the man as Jurgen Kantner.

Abu Sayyaf is believed to be holding a number of hostages and has freed several in return for ransom payments.

Mr Kantner’s deadline for ransom had expired at 9am on Sunday, according to Site.Philippine officials said they received reports Mr Kantner was murdered at 3.30pm local time yesterday by the Islamic terror group, which pledged allegiance to Isis in 2014.The sailor was kidnapped from his yacht in the Philippines on November 6.Abu Sayyaf demanded a ransom of 30 million pesos (£485,264) for his release.

Mr Kantner asked the German embassy for help in a video released on St Valentine’s Day.The beheading video was shared by the militancy monitoring group Site.Mr Kantner’s wife Sabine Merz was killed by the militants who abducted her husband. She was found naked by authorities who say she was shot on board their yacht.

Kantner was murdered at 3.30pm local time yesterday by the Islamic terror group

The Kantners were kidnapped by Somali pirates and held hostage for 58 days in the Gulf of Aden in 2008.Jurgen Kantner was one of 33 known hostages currently held by the ASG and follows a long list of beheaded hostages.Already in 2016 the ASG have beheaded Canadians Robert Hall and John Ridsdel while Norwegian Kjartan Sekkingstad was released after his ransom was paid.In 2014 a different German hostage was released following the alleged payment of a $5.6 million (4.5 million) ransom.Because ransoms have been paid, hostages are very valuable to the ASG and the cycle is unlikely to end if ransom continue to be paid, which likely means more hostages will be executed.
