Islamic “Religion of Peace” Jihadists Murder 3 Bloggers in 4 Months

You probably haven’t noticed, what with the mayhem in the Middle East and the terrorist attacks here in the West, but the Far East is suffering under Islamic terror as well.

In the nation of Bangladesh, generally considered a “moderate” Muslim nation, three bloggers have been butchered by radicals over the last four months. Stories like this hit especially hard for someone like myself, who makes a living blogging about current events and politics in the USA. I think that here in America we often take our ability to speak freely for granted, not realizing or considering that all over the world people put their lives on the line when they speak out against injustice. (Even here in the USA conservative bloggers face danger from Islamists and from liberals.)

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Yesterday morning in Bangladesh Ananta Bijoy Das, 32, was butchered as he went to work at a local bank. Witnesses say four masked men armed with “cleavers” and machetes attacked him by hacking at him with their weapons. Police say that Das died during the attack and would have been killed instantly by one of the blows he received.

Das is the 3rd blogger killed since February in a scene that is becoming all too commonplace in Bangladesh. Muslim cowards murdering anyone who disagrees with them… I wonder if the people who were so vehemently against Pamela Geller’s free speech event in Garland, Texas think that these bloggers also deserved what they got? Is giving your opinion about Islam now a crime that can be punished no matter who you are, where you live, or what you believe?

In March, another Bangladeshi blogger, Washiqur Rahman, was also hacked to death. Read one of the last things he wrote before his assassination.

Today is Bangladesh’s liberation day

The Mullah has freedom, extremists have freedom, Muslims have freedom, the corrupt have freedom, political leaders have freedom, adulates of the political leaders have freedom, rapists are free, the armed forces are free, so-called civil society is free, intellectuals who support Islamists, they also have freedom, religious leaders have freedom, the garment factory owners have freedom, the ferry owners have freedom.

Not free: the farmers and labours
Not free: indigenous people and minorities
Not free: Freethinkers
Not free: All the people who just want to be human…

In February, a Bangladeshi-American blogger, Avjit Roy, was also murdered with machetes and knives as he walked home from a book fair with his wife in Bangladesh’s capital of Dhaka.

These three men are the latest casualties in Islam’s war on free speech, but they are far from the only casualties. Over the last few years, many other Bangladeshi bloggers have dies in similarly “mysterious” circumstances. To be a blogger in Bangladesh who does not agree with Islam is to take your very life in your hands.

Anger from across the Internet was palpable as bloggers, activists and anyone else who was paying attention spoke out against the madness of the murdering Muslim terrorists.

Not so “irrational” after all is it?
But of course some seemed happy about what had happened. (The word Bismillah means “in the name of Allah.”)

This entire exercise reminds me of a televised debate that Dutch politician, free speech advocate and anti-Islam activist, Geert Wilders, had a while back. The fellow he was debating had just accused him of some pretty nasty things, including hating people for being different when he tried to equate Islam with other world religions. But Wilders was having none of it… his response is epic and it clearly explains the difference between Islam and Christianity.
