A British convert to Islam who calls himself Abu Rumaysah recently told a television interviewer: “I can’t love my mum because she is not Muslim.”
Abu Rumaysah is another devout Muslim “misunderstanding” Islam in the exact same way as millions of other Muslims. Islam before family, country, or “I.” Islam trumps all. Devout family members kill their children or spouses if their Islamic honor is impugned. Abu Rumaysah is the face of today’s Britain.

While Islamic hate preachers spew their genocidal poison across the United Kingdom, British Home Secretary Theresa May and other British authorities have banned the voices of freedom that oppose jihad, like Robert Spencer and me. Is it any surprise, then, that British Muslims would be flocking to the Islamic State?
Last week, British Muslim MP Khalid Mahmood said that as many as 2,000 Muslims from Britain have gone to Syria and Iraq to join the Islamic State – that is, four times more than British officials have previously admitted.
Interesting, isn’t it, how the number jumps wildly day by day? Does anyone really believe that keeping the truth from people is going to save them? When did that ever work? When did denial ever work? It is said that the Islamic State has an army of 200,000. Where do people think these Muslim fighters are coming from?
The U.K. can continue to placate their hostile Muslim population by banning voices of freedom, but appeasement signals weakness. And it is only a matter of time before British Muslims are fighting for an Islamic State in the United Kingdom itself, not just in Iraq, Syria, and the Levant.
British authorities are also in complete denial about why so many young Muslims are joining the Islamic State from Britain. How did this misunderstanding of Islam become so widespread? Why are so many more Muslims from Britain and the United States than ever joined al-Qaida joining the Islamic State?
Nothing is being done to stop jihad recruiting in U.S. and European mosques, even as thousands of Muslims from the U.S. and Europe have gone to wage jihad for the Islamic State.
Meanwhile, another Muslim child sex trafficking gang has been busted. The British press couldn’t refer to these Muslims as “Asian” because they are from Somalia. So now we have a “Somali gang” in Britain behaving in exactly the same way as did all the “Asian gangs.” Different continent but same ideology. This is not about race, borders, or geography. The country of origin is as relevant as the color of their socks.
As my colleagues and I have been explaining for years, sex slavery is a religious right in Islam. Kidnapping and enslaving girls as sex slaves is sanctioned by the Quran in multiple places.
This is all according to Islamic law (Shariah). The Quran says: “Prosperous are the believers who in their prayers are humble and from idle talk turn away and at almsgiving are active and guard their private parts save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy” (23:1-6). Those whom their “right hands own” (Quran 4:3, 4:24, 33:50) are slaves – specifically, sex slaves. A manual of Islamic law says: “When a child or a woman is taken captive, they become slaves by the fact of capture, and the woman’s previous marriage is immediately annulled” (“Reliance of the Traveller,” o9.13). Her marriage is annulled so that she can be forcibly married or given as a slave to a jihadi warrior.
Despite such savage laws, based on the Quran, Lord Harries of Pentregarth, former bishop of Oxford, and a leading Church of England thinker, said that when Prince Charles becomes king, the Quran should be read at his coronation. And it took almost nine months for the U.K.’s Law Society to back away from its vicious ruling to advance the Shariah, the most brutal and extreme system of legal governance on the face of the earth. Back in March, I reported on the Law Society’s incomprehensible and astonishing move toward complete capitulation: its adoption of Shariah law. It was reported at the time: “Islamic law is to be effectively enshrined in the British legal system for the first time under guidelines for solicitors on drawing up ‘Sharia compliant’ wills. Under ground-breaking guidance, produced by The Law Society, High Street solicitors will be able to write Islamic wills that deny women an equal share of inheritances and exclude unbelievers altogether.”
Now, the Law Society has had second thoughts. A bit of sense from the now notoriously senseless British. But will it be enough to stop Britain’s galloping Islamization? Probably not.
