As I look back on the 2015 Montana Legislative Session, I am flooded with mixed emotions regarding the outcome of a few issues that I felt strongly about, and, in some cases, took tremendous strides to sway public opinion in a direction that I thought to be most in line with constitutional principles.
Sadly, my efforts and the efforts of hundreds and hundreds more, couldn’t combat the turncoats within the Republican Party; for there were just too many, and they were too well financed.
One issue that was hotly contested was the proposed Medicaid Expansion, or the Obamacare Medicaid Expansion; as termed by many a Conservative. One group, Americans for Prosperity-Montana, has been at the tip of the spear in educating Montana citizens about what Medicaid Expansion means to them.
Deputy Director of AFP-Montana, Henry Kriegel came to Kalispell recently to speak before a group at a local luncheon. I was asked to record and publish Henry’s presentation; which I have included below.
To become more familiar with AFP-Montana, I have included an introduction taken from their website:
Americans for Prosperity is a grassroots movement of over 2.3 million activists who advocate and promote limited government, lower taxes, and more freedom.
No matter where you live, there are always opportunities to get involved with AFP on the local and national level. We have events across the country, even in non-chapter states, and could be in your area soon.
We encourage you to join the over 11,000 members of AFP in Montana and the 2.3 million activists nationwide on the front line in the fight against big government. As an AFP activist we will provide you with action alerts that allow you to contact your elected officials, updates on how you can promote limited government, and provide you with the tools to make your voice heard.
