As I commented the other day, the fact that Milo Yiannopoulos was invited to be a featured speaker at CPAC this year should have been enough to cause conservatives to boycott the conference. However, not so much of a stink was raised until a video surfaced of an interview in which he apparently seems happy about older men with younger boys sexually. Not a peep came from conservatives that he is an open homosexual with a filthy mouth, on par with Dan Savage. Now following that revelation and the outcry against Milo, he’s been disinvited to speak at CPAC, resigned at Breitbart and lost his book deal.
Yiannopoulos resigned his position with Breitbart on Tuesday.
“Breitbart News has stood by me when others caved. I would be wrong to allow my poor choice of words to detract from my colleagues’ important reporting, so today I am resigning from Breitbart, effective immediately,” Yiannopoulos wrote in a statement.
Milo also lost his book deal. The Washington Post reports:
Publisher Simon & Schuster announced Monday it cancelled Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos’s book deal, the latest development in the growing backlash over resurfaced videos of the far-right provocateur criticizing age-of-consent laws.
A statement from the publishing house offered little explanation: “After careful consideration, Simon & Schuster and its Threshold Editions imprint have cancelled publication of ‘Dangerous’ by Milo Yiannopoulos.”
What amazes me most is how professed conservatives have no problem with his vulgarities and his open discussion, and I might add marketing, of sodomy to the next generation as though it were “free speech.” Milo is speaking about and promoting what is still against the law despite what the Supreme Court has ruled regarding state anti-sodomy laws, since they cannot make law nor rule on state law per the Constitution (See here and here).
The Reagan Battalion – a group that pretends to be conservative – then gloated at the news that they had helped end Milo’s career.
The group has a Facebook page and if you click on the about tab you get this:
The Stop Donald Trump Pac was founded last year by committed #NeverTrumpers who were hoping to destroy Donald Trump and put Hillary Clinton in the White House.
And they call themselves “principled” conservatives.
They are linked to #NeverTrumper candidate Evan McMullin.
The Reagan Battalion Facebook page has several McMullin campaign ads.
The Daily Dot discovered The Reagan Battalion is linked to progressive activists and far left movement “Indivisible.”
The Reagan Battalion bills itself as a coalition of conservative news outlets, many of which often take a critical stance on Trump but claim no affiliation with the group. Reagan Battalion lists in its contact information a website for the nonexistent Stop Donald Trump PAC. That group’s web presence has largely been deleted, but archived copies show it was paid for by the Stop Trump PAC, a registered political action committee, created by a progressive activist, the website of which now links to the grassroots group Indivisible.
Indivisible is the movement behind the recent disruptions at GOP town hall rallies.
Indivisible board members have indirect links to far left George Soros groups.
The Daily Signal reported:
Democrats who used to work on Capitol Hill are helping to disrupt Republican lawmakers’ town hall meetings across the country through a nationwide effort to oppose and “resist” President Donald Trump’s agenda.
They call their group Indivisible Guide, a name that came from an actual guide posted online telling activists how to pressure members of Congress. Among topics: what to say when going to town halls and calling or visiting a member’s office.
Leaders of the organization have loose ties to George Soros, the billionaire hedge fund manager who bankrolls liberal causes, according to the Capital Research Center, a conservative think tank that investigates nonprofits.
… The Capital Research Center argues that Indivisible Guide’s board has indirect ties with left-leaning groups funded by Soros, as well as with other liberal organizations.
“Indivisible is ultraslick leftist astroturf activism at its finest,” Matthew Vadum, senior vice president at the Capital Research Center, told The Daily Signal in an email. “At least three of the group’s five principals—Ezra Levin, Leah Greenberg, and Angel Padilla—have ties to organizations funded by George Soros. Indivisible is apparently not yet a nonprofit, but plans are in the works to register it as a nonprofit.”
Frankly, it matters not who put out the video of Milo’s comments. It really doesn’t. While I detest the likes of George Soros, the fact remains that if Milo had not spoken in the way he did and not been engaged in the behavior he is engaged, the video would not be accessible in the first place. He, and he alone, is to blame for what is happening to him. God has turned him over to a reprobate mind (Romans 1:28 and you can hear it expressed in the filth that comes out of his mouth. Yet, I’m seeing professed conservatives praising him while he is indoctrinating their children with the homosexual agenda.
Just remember Milo is not a conservative. There is really no way for a person to engage in the behavior he does and be seriously taken for a conservative. That idea is a complete myth. One day, I hope that Milo repents and understand what a real conservative is supposed to be, and I hope other conservatives will do that same.
