MISSING: 2 Afghan Pilot Trainees from US Air Force Base in Georgia

Once again, the stupidity of training foreigners on our own soil is astounding to me. It’s been reported that two Afghan pilot trainees have gone missing in Georgia from a US Air Force base.

Officials at Moody AFB in Valdosta, Georgia released this statement.

Two male Afghan air force students did not report for duty yesterday at their regular maintenance training at Moody AFB in Valdosta, Georgia. Both are assigned to the 81st Fighter Squadron. They have been at Moody since. February 2015 and were screened prior to their arrival in the United States more than a year ago. The students have trained alongside American counterparts for the entirety of 2015 and do not pose any apparent threat. There is a well-coordinated process among federal agencies to locate the individuals as quickly as possible and return them accordingly to the proper authorities to manage their present situation.

According to WTXL, these two pilots were part of a training program that was announced back in 2014. They are said to have been properly screened and that they had been victims under the Taliban.

“Both are assigned to the 81st Fighter Squadron. They have been at Moody since February 2015 and were screened prior to their arrival in the United States more than a year ago,” Air Force officials said in a statement.

“They all to some degree have all suffered under the hands of the Taliban so I can tell you having talked to them personally, they are all motivated to get trained,” said  Lt. Col. Jeff Hogan, Light Air Support training unit commander.

So, where are these men then? According to Korey Fratini with Moody AFB Public Affairs, the two men were last seen Friday during normal hours at the base.

What’s even stranger is the Fratini says that the names of the men and their pictures will not be released to the public so that we can keep an eye out for them.

“There’s zero evidence that these guys are terrorists,” said Brian Childress, police chief in Valdosta.

Air Force and Defense officials noted “there’s no reason to believe either of the two pose any kind of threat.”

Really? Sort of like all the American jihadists (Boston bombers, San Bernardino, etc.) didn’t post any kind of threat… until they posed a threat?

Both men were being trained in aircraft maintenance. They were scheduled to graduate on December 18, after which they were to return to Afghanistan. They had been at Moody since February 2015.

Why is this such an issue? Ever heard of green on blue attacks? Ever read about the very real possibility that Extortion 17 was a green on blue attack? It is absolutely foolish for the united States to be training people from a culture that seeks to murder our own soldiers. It is even more insane to do it on our own soil!

This is not the first time Afghan military personnel have disappeared in the US. In 2014, three Afghan nation army officers disappeared during a training exercise at Joint Base Cape Cod in Massachusetts. They were found trying to cross the border into Canada near Niagara Falls.

I wonder how the Obama administration and officials will spin this if these two men show up in the next Islamic jihad attack on Americans. They’ll probably say it was workplace violence.
