Obama Pushes for Mandatory Voting – Retreats After Backlash
On Wednesday, Barack Hussein Obama floated the idea of mandatory voting in the United States, something that obviously restricts freedom and imposes tyranny. Even though there is no doubt that he and those around him have been involved in voter fraud, he still pushed it in the context of “making it easier, not harder” for people to vote. However, on Thursday, Obama retreated from that position because of backlash from the people.

Obama floated the idea of mandatory voting in the U.S. while speaking to a civic group in Cleveland on Wednesday. Asked about the corrosive influence of money in U.S. elections, Obama digressed into the related topic of voting rights and said the U.S. should be making it easier — not harder— for people to vote.
Just ask Australia, where citizens have no choice but to vote, the president said.
“If everybody voted, then it would completely change the political map in this country,” Obama said, calling it potentially transformative. Not only that, Obama said, but universal voting would “counteract money more than anything.”
Disproportionately, Americans who skip the polls on Election Day are younger, lower-income and more likely to be immigrants or minorities, Obama said. “There’s a reason why some folks try to keep them away from the polls,” he said in a veiled reference to efforts in a number of Republican-led states to make it harder for people to vote.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Of course, no mention was made of the Black Panthers, the same group that openly believes that Barack Obama is from Kenya and have recently called for the murder of police officers, at voting places intimidating voters, which Obama’s DOJ did not prosecute.
Interestingly enough, AP reports that only 37 percent of eligible voters actually cast ballots during the 2014 elections, according to the United States Election Project. So, you can conclude that a minority of Americans actually determine the course of the country, since even a majority of the minority voting is an even smaller number of the population.
However, on Thursday, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said, “The president was not making a specific policy prescription for the United States.”
Right, like he floats a lot of things before he seeks to try and implement them unlawfully and unconstitutionally. Just take gun control measures for instance.
Earnest made the statement in response to Senator Marco Rubio’s (R-FL) who told Fox News’ “Hannity,” “”Look, first, I don’t put anything past him. I mean, there are a lot of things that have already happened that I never thought I would see, and so this would not surprise me if indeed that’s the way they move forward on it.”
“But here’s the point he refuses to point out or that he misses: not voting is also a legitimate choice that some people make,” Rubio added. “I wish more people would participate in politics, too, but that is their choice — that is the choice of living in a free society.”
On this issue, I agree with Rubio, you cannot put anything past the criminal in the White House.
Additionally, Obama has a lot of nerve talking about “counteracting money” in campaigns. Obama raised $750 million in 2008 in his first bid for the White House against Senator John McCain and $1.123 billion in 2012 against Mitt Romney. This was all for a $400,000 a year job!
Somehow, I don’t believe Mr. Obama’s talk about money in politics versus voting rights or mandatory voting. He has demonstrated himself to be a hypocrite every step of the way. Yet, it’s simply another means to divide the country and implement tyranny.
Frankly, I prefer that people who are not informed about the issues or the candidates not vote. I prefer that people who don’t have taxes levied against property not vote since there is essentially no “skin in the game.” Call me old fashioned, but the idea of people voting for politicians who will give them goodies from the public treasury is something that the founders warned us about. We’re seeing it in our time and we’ve been witnessing it for along time… and not just under Democrat presidents and congresses either.
