There are some in both the “conservative” community and the “liberal” community that believe that America should open its borders to the mass group of refugees that are moving into Europe. They point to the humanitarian responsibility that we have to bring these people in and give them asylum. But Europe is finding that these people are not what they first appeared to be.
Hungarian police have opened fire with tear gas against 1500 rioting migrants who are attempting to break through the country’s border fence. Migrants have been chanting “Allah hu Akbar” while pelting police officers with missiles including “really big rocks,” bottles, and even food, leading to the crack down. The news follows Hungary’s state of emergency declared yesterday.
This is on the heels of reports from Greece of unruly migrants fighting amongst themselves and the populous. This great mass of people who needed our compassion and help are beginning to show their true colors. And this the reason for the crackdown—at least, in part.
Right Scoop reports:
Hungary’s prime minister, Viktor Orban, was criticized online and in person on Thursday for writing in a German newspaper that it was important to secure his nation’s borders from mainly Muslim migrants “to keep Europe Christian.”
“Those arriving have been raised in another religion, and represent a radically different culture. Most of them are not Christians, but Muslims,” Mr. Orban wrote in a commentary for Frankfurt Allgemeine Zeitung, a German newspaper. “This is an important question, because Europe and European identity is rooted in Christianity.”
“Is it not worrying in itself that European Christianity is now barely able to keep Europe Christian?” Mr. Orban asked. “There is no alternative, and we have no option but to defend our borders.”
Before meeting with Mr. Orban on Thursday in Brussels, Donald Tusk, the president of the European Council, which represents European Union leaders, thanked him for securing Europe’s borders, but took issue with the argument of Mr. Orban’s opinion article.
Now, this kind of thinking is what gets some people fighting mad. Mostly liberals who want us all to believe that there is nothing special about Western culture. They wish for us to close our eyes and forget thousands of years of history. The scientific advancements and the medical breakthroughs. Advanced economics and, yes, even great leaps in tolerance and coexistence. All of this and because of the Christian culture upon which Western Civilization was built.
As Europe has lost its will to have and raise children, secure its borders, or even say that there is any reason to save itself from extinction, the next master is streaming in from Syria and Afghanistan—and we should not think that they wish to become part of Europe: they wish to dominate and control her.
Conservative columnist Peter Hitchens wrote for the Daily Mail: “These people are not (as I am) the children of British subjects born while overseas. They are people who have grown up in a different culture. Never before in our history have we faced the task of integrating a minority so large. Never before have we had such a feeble idea of what being British is.
“And yet people ask me, as if the idea were absurd, why I think this will be a Muslim country within a couple of generations. I can think of no force or idea or movement or faith more likely to prosper in the state to come.
“Like all other civilisations which lost their nerve and the will to live, European Christianity is destined to become a minority in its own territory. By the way, if you don’t like this, and voted Tory at the last Election, you have no business complaining.”
Orban’s article also said: “The people want us to master the situation and protect our borders. Only when we have protected our borders can questions be asked about the numbers of people we can take in, or whether there should be quotas.”
The writing is on the wall in Europe. Within two generations, the people of Europe will be the minority. Their rejection of Christ and the Church have led to their own destruction. As I have said before, someone will take dominion—it is in our nature, as God has created man to do just that (Gen. 1:28).
God will give victory to His Church.
