The Populist Revolution Reveals the Consequences of Obama’s Failed Foreign Policy

We all have to see that the things we set out to accomplish sometimes have unexpected results.

Though we do not realize the results are somehow connected, we find too late that things we would not have to occur are the results of our decisions. This may be the case with President Obama.

There is no doubt that Obama’s handling of our wars in the Middle East has led to the creation of ISIS and the loss of control of many neutral/friendly nations in the region. This may have been an intentional move, as Obama is a clear anti-colonialist. But, the loss of influence for himself and America surely was not his goal.

But that seems to be exactly what has happened.

The Washington Times reports:

The resignation of Italy’s prime minister Monday marked the abrupt downfall of the third key European partner of President Obama this year, as the president becomes increasingly powerless to confront a populist wave sweeping both sides of the Atlantic and challenging traditional U.S. alliances.

Even for Mr. Obama’s supporters, the speed at which his foreign partnerships are crumbling has been breathtaking. Some of them wonder, as similar populist sentiment in the U.S. swept Donald Trump to power, whether Mr. Obama is presiding over the disintegration of alliances that have provided the foundation of U.S. diplomacy since the end of World War II.

This has left Americans wondering what the results of this rejection of the Liberal structure will have for us internationally and even militarily. Will our traditional allies support us, or will they openly work for their interests and the interests of their people?

Only time will fully reveal the damage that Obama’s policies truly have caused.
