You Probably Didn’t Even Know This Candidate Was Running For President [VIDEO]

Everyone is so focused on Democrats and Republicans running for the 2016 presidential nomination that they have completely ignored another silent majority backing a formidable candidate: John McAfee.

John McAfee is a world-famous computer scientist, activist, developer of the first commercial anti-virus software program, and Libertarian Candidate for President of the United States.

McAfee’s message, according to his campaign sight, BeALibertarian.com, is to spread the cause of Liberty far and wide. He argues that:

  • He’s seen firsthand what happens when a government has unchecked power over its citizens.
  • He’s been a part of the technological revolution that has proven how an industry free from government regulation can flourish.
  • He’s got the expertise and know-how to protect our nation from the real security threats of today, and protect our privacy while doing it.

McAfee argues,

“The American government reversed its role of being a servant to its citizens and took on the role of being our boss, our mother, our father. It began to tell us what we could and could not do with our own bodies. It decided what was good for us and bad for us. And demanded that we obey its judgments. It began a systematic removal of our privacies so that it could know where we are, what we are doing, and who with. It has removed many of our freedoms so that it can ensure its plans for our lives could not be thwarted.”

He also explains the principles of libertarianism and maintains that the primary purpose of the federal government is national defense.

One of the biggest causes he champions is individual freedom and liberty from an overarching government that invades privacy (ie. iphones), confiscates private property and asset forfeiture, and regulates companies to death. He explains that the government already has access and is spying on Americans, instead of focusing on measures that would actually make Americans safe from threats both foreign and domestic.
