A Reminder of One of the Biggest Constitutional Cons in History: Khizr Khan

It is an incredible skill to look directly into a camera and speak to millions of people with a straight face and claim with all seriousness the exact opposite of what one believes.

Yet that is exactly what Khizr Khan did when he addressed a mostly hired crowd at the Democratic National Convention. Holding a pocket-sized Constitution while suggesting that Americans read it, is perhaps one of the best and recent examples of Islamic taqqiya–ever.

Muslims are instructed and permitted to lie to non-Muslims for several reasons, as is made clear in the Qur’an and the Sunnah– which are foundational to Islamic law. Khan’s con was to deceive, to promote one idea when in fact he is ardently advocating the other.

In his Houston Journal of International Law essay, entitled, “Juristic Classification of Islamic Law,” (1983; Vol. 6:23; p. 23-35) he details shari’a law. On page 27 he writes:

“To Muslims, the Quran being the very word of God, it is the absolute authority from which springs the very conception of legality and every legal obligation.”

Khan respects the U.S. Constitution as much as ISIS loves Jesus.

Shari’a law and the U.S. Constitution are completely incompatible– which is why Islamists have been actively trying to change the Constitution (while also claiming it is compatible with Shari’a law).

Even the European Court on Human Rights has ruled more than once that Shari’a law is “incompatible with the fundamental principles of democracy.”

Don’t be fooled by one of the greatest conmen alive. The only purpose of his speech was swindle misplaced trust of those ignorant about Islamic law, about which Khan is an expert. He knows full well what he was saying is false. And Americans should remember and share with others that lying to non-Muslims is integral to advancing Islam.
