Report: FBI and DOJ may be Closing the Net on Hillary Clinton Soon!

Dueling reports from TIME magazine and Fox News paint a grim picture for Hillary Clinton and her presidential campaign.

At TIME we learn that FBI director Jim Comey has been chasing the Clinton family for many, many years. In fact, the first time Comey began looking into the possibly criminal dealings of the Clinton family was more than 20 years ago, when Bill Clinton was still the President and Comey worked on the “Whitewater” investigation.

In 1996, after months of work, Comey came to some damning conclusions: Hillary Clinton was personally involved in mishandling documents and had ordered others to block investigators as they pursued their case. Worse, her behavior fit into a pattern of concealment: she and her husband had tried to hide their roles in two other matters under investigation by law enforcement. Taken together, the interference by White House officials, which included destruction of documents, amounted to “far more than just aggressive lawyering or political naiveté,” Comey and his fellow investigators concluded. It constituted “a highly improper pattern of deliberate misconduct.”

TIME goes to great lengths to also note that while Comey has had run-ins with the Clintons before, he is an equal opportunity offender and reminds us that it was Comey who “brought down” Bush Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez. The point that TIME seems to be driving at is that as this investigations seems to be reaching a climax, the Clinton family should be very, very worried about what happens next.

Which is where the latest report from Fox News comes in.

At Fox News, Pamela Brown and Catherine Herridge inform us that the FBI and the Justice Department seem to be closing the noose around Hillary Clinton’s illegal, and corrupt emailing practices. FBI Director Comey and Attorney General Loretta Lynch have been meeting together more and more frequently and both are now being briefed DAILY on the progress of the case.
Speaking to a source with inside knowledge of the case Fox News says,

“In a case like this you get one shot at the queen,” the source, who was not authorized to speak on the record, said referring to Clinton, the former secretary of state and current front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination. “The pressures are enormous on the agents, as the case has to be airtight and perfect.” (Emphasis mine.)

While Clinton still argues that she’s done nothing wrong, the mountain of evidence that has now been made public seems to tell a very different story. Fortunately for us, James Comey does not seem like the kind of man who will allow Hillary Clinton to walk away from her crimes. History shows that he’s even willing to stand against the President to bring the guilty parties down. Let’s hope that still holds true.
