The Frog in the Pot is Getting Pretty Hot…

Over the last four decades, I have been watching every detrimental cultural trait within America’s black communities encouraged and nurtured by progressives. Belligerence, hedonism, disrespect for authority, self-indulgence, shiftlessness and sloth (through victimhood and the sense of entitlement), have been represented somehow as valued aspects of blacks’ heritage, or at least “understandable” given their past exploitation by The Evil Old White Man.

The youngest crop of black adults have been particularly affected by the vile propaganda they use to sell this view, since they have no other frame of reference.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Forty years ago, black adults of prominence would castigate young blacks for indulging in questionable aspects of popular culture and succumbing to peer pressure. Now, black adults of prominence are the primary purveyors of dangerous viewpoints and practices; even if they do not personally support pop culture lifestyles, they dare not articulate this, lest they cease being prominent.

On April 28, during a joint press conference with Japan’s prime minister, President Barack Hussein Obama delivered remarks concerning the violence that erupted in Baltimore following the death of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old black man who died in police custody earlier in the month.

In a nearly 1800-word effluvia of unabashed political indulgence, and with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe standing next to him looking uncomfortably wooden the entire time, Bathhouse Barry gave grudging, meager praise for and a weak showing of solidarity to Baltimore law enforcement officers.

Then, as is his habit, he launched into a diatribe of how more money and more Marxist policies will be needed in order to fix the problems that give rise to such violence, and intimating that entrenched institutional racism is driving this train, despite cities such as Baltimore having been completely controlled by progressive politicians – many of them black – for decades.

“Since Ferguson… and the task force that we put together, we have seen too many instances of what appears to be police officers interacting with individuals — primarily African American, often poor — in ways that have raised troubling questions. And it comes up, it seems like, once a week now, or once every couple of weeks… What I’d say is this has been a slow-rolling crisis. This has been going on for a long time. This is not new, and we shouldn’t pretend that it’s new…”

A bigger bullcrap artist I’ve never seen. The fact that so many still buy into his swill lends credence to the liberal elites’ (usually) unspoken contention that Americans are inherently stupid – but intellectually, I know that’s scientifically and statistically impossible.

My favorite line was, “What I’d say is this has been a slow-rolling crisis. This has been going on for a long time. This is not new, and we shouldn’t pretend that it’s new…”  This, of course, suggests that that not a damn thing has changed in terms of blacks’ quality of life since they first arrived on the continent, and Obama knows that such rhetoric subliminally imparts resentment and justification for nearly any form of antisocial behavior among blacks.

During this excruciating discourse, Obama plugged his task force on policing (created last year after riots in Ferguson Missouri), the first step towards creating his version of Imperial Storm Troopers. Obama wasn’t the only one to do so in recent days, nor the only one to bemoan the plight of blacks in America, however – despite this plight having been created by those of his ideological bent.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, while delivering the keynote address at the 2015 Women in the World Summit on April 29, also weighed in on Baltimore, Ferguson, and other tidbits of race-related violence to which we’ve been treated over the last few years – courtesy of progressives.

Tamir Rice shot in a park in Cleveland, Ohio. Unarmed and just 12 years old. Eric Garner choked to death after being stopped for selling cigarettes on the streets of this city. And now Freddie Gray. His spine nearly severed while in police custody. Not only as a mother and a grandmother but as a citizen, a human being, my heart breaks for these young men and their families.”

What surprises me is that she was able to say all of this with a straight face. And it only got worse; this speech called for the industrial size box o’ Kleenex – or a 5-gallon bucket…

As an aside, this Women in the World Summit was held at The Dinkins Forum at Columbia University in New York City. I find this ironic in the extreme, because David N. Dinkins, distinguished only in that he was New York’s first black mayor, was a doddering old fool and consummate tax-and-spend liberal who left that city in such wretched shape that it made successor Rudy Giuliani’s subsequent reforms and successes appear all the more noteworthy.

Later, Clinton said that “deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.” The significance of this statement was only discussed by a few commentators. Clinton said this in the context of “reproductive health care” – Libspeak for abortion – but the implications extend beyond that. They extend into the area of criminalizing religious beliefs, something the left is also addressing on the front of same-sex “marriage.” We saw this conflict arise between the government and religious organizations and businesses during the implementation of certain elements of Obamacare.

There are many more such conflicts are on the horizon – and not just concerning Obamacare…

Changing “deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases” is Libspeak for neutralizing religious protections under the law – particularly those of the Christian majority in America – as well as other fundamental concepts of Natural Law enshrined in the Constitution.

What we are seeing now with this sort of rhetoric, as well as proposed and emerging policies, is the convergence of a host of radical initiatives. There are many, to be sure; the ones mentioned here are just some of the more evident ones.

To put it colloquially: The fire under the pot of water with the frog in it just got turned up a few notches…
