Theology of the ‘Gay’-tanic Church: Heretical Homosexual Interpretations of the Bible

In the very specific biblical sense, it is not my contention that all homosexuals are Satan worshippers or demon-possessed. However, the twisted theology described below can only be labeled as unadulterated evil. It is typically referred to by many as “queer theology” or “gay liberation theology,” but it is so obscene, pornographic and satanic in nature that it unquestionably deserves the title: “gay”-tanic. Shockingly, there are now “theology schools” and “seminaries” that currently offer courses in the queer misreading of Scripture. In her book Indecent Theology, Prof. Marcella Althaus-Reid makes the outrageous claim that “all theology is sexual theology.” This is the contention of many homosexuals who maliciously distort the Bible into a volume that validates their grotesque sexual fixation. Many activist LGBT deviants dementedly envision erotic overtones “gay”-lore.

When I wrote a column about the homosexual hypersexualization of everything, including that which is religious and wholesome, it was not merely for the shock value of such a conclusion. The intended purpose was simply to make people aware of every sordid detail of the homosexual agenda. Yet, many Americans don’t seem to realize, or even care about, what’s actually happening to our country. What they, unfortunately, fail to understand is that we are currently undergoing one of the vilest transformations ever: the homosexual obliteration of all sexual standards and religious restraints. It is a culture war with extremely dire implications, and as we shall soon see, if anything, my earlier article erred on the side of extreme understatement.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Homosexual activists are engaged in a radical effort to replace our nation’s godly heritage with “gay” homo-eroticism, and they understand that the wholesale perversion of our country requires the removal of all moral obstacles that stand in the way of absolute sexual autonomy and anarchy. “The chief opposition to ‘gay’ equality is religious. We may conduct much of our liberation efforts in the political sphere or even the cultural sphere, but slowing our progress is the moral/religious sphere.”

“Gay” columnist Paul Varnell explicitly bemoans, “If we could hasten the pace of change there, our overall progress would accelerate — in fact, it would be assured.”

Therefore, the militant homofascists will never be truly happy until they have succeeded in dragging every last vestige of pure doctrine into the gutter with them. To that end, they know that the most effective way to accomplish their sinister objectives is to strike at blow at the very heart of Christian authority, the infallible Word of God, and that’s exactly what many of the defenders of debauchery have maliciously endeavored to do though their queer misreading of the Bible. “Gay”-tanic liberation theology is vulgarity and blasphemy of the vilest kind.

The following is an effort to strike back at homosexuality’s darker side by shining a revealing light on this homosexual heresy (1 Cor. 4:5; Eph. 5:11). “Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed” (John 3:20). So, let’s expose some of the elements of this malevolent matter.

WARNING: The remainder of this column is extremely graphic in nature and may offend many readers. Please proceed at your own risk. What you are about to read is the kind of thing that should make every Bible-believing Christian’s blood boil. According to the queer “theologians,” everything, and I mean everything, in the Bible is about the deviancy of homosexual sex. Again, you’ve been forewarned.

(The following examples are taken from Dr. Michael Brown’s excellent, eye-opening book A Queer Thing Happened to America.)

It has become very common to depict inaccurately the brotherly love of David and Jonathan as a homosexual relationship, but according to the vulgar homosexual distorters of the Bible, there are “gays” and lesbians all throughout the Word of God. Their list of homosexual lovers includes Naomi and her daughter-in-law Ruth, Mary and Martha (the sisters of Lazarus), and Jesus and the Apostle John. Terrance McNally’s blasphemous 1998 play Corpus Christi has also popularized the sacrilegious depiction of a “gay” Jesus with homosexual Apostles.

In the Queer Commentary and the Hebrew Bible, there are these perversity-packed delusions:

According to “gay pastor” Timothy R. Koch, in his article “Cruising as Methodology: Homoeroticism and the Scriptures,” the description of Elijah in 2 Kings 1:8, wearing goatskins and a leather belt, means that he was “channeling goat gods” as the scriptural prototype of the homosexual “leather” subculture. Koch also makes many other such disturbing “discoveries.” For instance, 2 Kings 10:12–17 contains an account of Israel’s King Jehu and Jehonadab taking an innocent ride in a chariot, but to Koch’s warped mind, the text is pregnant with sexual innuendo as he envisions this episode as a “clear” reference to a homosexual pleasure trip. And in Judges 3:12–26, when Ehud plunged an 18-inch knife into Israel’s Moabite oppressor, Eglon, Koch takes great interpretive liberties to distort this passage into a scene of sexual penetration by a phallus.

In the same Queer Commentary, Lori Rowlett’s article “Violent Femmes and S/M [Sadomasochism]: Queering Samson and Delilah” makes the preposterous claim that, “Delilah is the femme dominatrix teasing and tormenting Samson, who has all the characteristics of a ‘butch bottom'” [a lesbian sexually receptive partner].

In Torah Queeries, we also have numerous more reprobate interpretations of the Bible:

Amichai Lau-Lavie compares the Israelite revelry around the golden calf to dancing in a “gay” bar. And when Moses shatters the Ten Commandments, Lau-Lavie explains that this was not an expression of anger over their idolatrous behavior, but rather a symbolic breaking of the moral law, a removal of all sexual boundaries.

In another article from this volume, Noach Dzmura engages in obscene “devotional” reflections about the flame that was to burn continually on the Temple altar (Ex. 27:20–21). He writes, “How can queer Jews fan the flame of eternity that resides within? One way might be to recognize that ‘flaming queen’ is not a pejorative but an indicator of one’s spiritual health.”

Not to be outdone, Tamar Kamionkowski also shares his insidious interpretation of Leviticus 10:1–3. In this text, Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron the Jewish High Priest, are destroyed by divine fire from the Lord for presenting an unauthorized offering at the tabernacle. According to Kamionkowski, though, this is a homoerotic act between God and Aaron’s sons. He writes, “God accepts the men and takes them into his innermost sanctum, and he consumes them in an act of burning passion … this text offers an example of homoerotic attraction between human males and the male God of the Bible.”

In his blasphemous thirty-eight page study entitled YHWH as Erastes, Theodore W. Jennings, Jr. asserts that God Himself was erotically involved with King David, who is the perennial “bottom” [male receptive partner in anal sex]. Similarly, but much worse, in his article A Lost Targum, Roland Boer, the Ph.D. Associate Professor in Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies at Monash University in Australia, provides a very deviant depiction of Moses’ meeting with God on Mt. Sinai. Boer describes this encounter in some of the most revolting terms. To begin with, Moses climbs the mountain and meets an elderly, bearded “gay” man who is actually Yahweh Himself. As the Lord gives Moses instructions about the priestly garments, Boer writes, “All this talk of tingling clothing, pomegranates and bells and hems, has made Moses horny … dying for a look beneath those furs that Yahweh insists on wearing on this unbearably hot mountain.” So, when Moses shortly thereafter requested to see God’s glory and the Lord said, “You will see my back, but my face must not be seen,” Boer sickeningly imagines this to be God’s homosexual arousal of Moses through the provocative revealing of His divine backside (buttocks), not his back. Moses’ face was then radiant with erotic excitement.

Robert E. Goss, a former Jesuit priest, abandoned his Catholic ministry to pursue a homosexual relationship. His books include Jesus Acted Up: A Gay and Lesbian Manifesto and Queering Christ: Beyond Jesus Acted Up. Goss is a recognized theological “leader” in the Metropolitan Community Church, the primary, apostate “gay Christian” denomination. Goss even achieved a false air of respectability when he won the 2000 Templeton Course Prize in Religion and Science. According to Rev. Edward Ingebretsen, Director of American Studies at Georgetown University, Goss is a “preeminent” voice who fulfills a “prophetic role” for the Christian “resistance.” And what does this foremost homosexual “prophet” have to say? Goss writes: “Jesus evolved from a friend in childhood to lover, and to the Queer Christ calling me out of the closet into the streets as an activist priest … I trace my first unspoken words of physical attraction to the crucified Jesus, wanting to strip off his loincloth and gaze at his genitals … I lusted after the figure of Christ, imagining him as the bearded hunk depicted by Michelangelo.” Moreover, this offensive “prophet” of perversion also deviously interprets the Roman centurion’s spearing of Christ as an erotic image of “a penetrated male, a bottom.”

Religion is a Queer Thing: A Guide to the Christian Faith for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered People is considered a mainstream book in “gay Christian” circles. In this book, a collection of contemptible essays, Elizabeth Stuart provides a lesson guide on “Queer Christologies.” Stuart also provides “A Rite of Repentance,” which identifies humanity’s only sin as “pretending to know or understand nothing about homosexuality, bisexuality or transgender issues.” And in her “A Liturgy for Coming Out,” she equates Eve’s “coming out” of Adam, the Israelites’ “coming out” of Egypt and Babylon, Lazarus’ “coming out” of the grave, and Jesus’ “coming out” of death as exemplars of today’s homosexuals coming out of the closet.

Also, included in Religion is a Queer Thing:

  • Chris Glaser’s a “Prayer of Thanks for our Bodies” is a repulsive ode to “orgasmic bliss.”
  • Lucia Chappelle’s perverse parody of Silent Night celebrates “lesbians hand in hand” for the Metropolitan Community Church Hymnal.
  • Prof. Kathy Rudy grossly distorts Matthew 18:20: “Where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” She applies this text to random sexual encounters at a public bathroom or a “gay” bar.

In The Children are Free: Re-examining the Biblical Evidence on Same-sex Relationships, “Rev.” Jeff Miner and John Tyler Connoley present the very popular “gay Christian” myth that the Roman soldier and his paralyzed servant in Matt. 8:5–13 were homosexual partners. Based upon a ridiculous interpretation of the Greek word for servant (pais), Miner and Connoley erroneously assert that Jesus healed the centurion’s underage sex slave. In so doing, they claim that Jesus was affirming not only homosexuality, but also pedophilia and the sex trafficking. (And they say there’s no slippery slope? As I’ve said before, maybe it would be more accurate to describe it as a catastrophic cliff.) However, as Dr. Michael Brown states, “The interpretation is so baseless that it’s not even mentioned in the Study New Testament for Lesbians, Gays, Bi, and Transgender. And, for the record, the Greek word pais is found in the Greek Scriptures (the Septuagint and the New Testament) approximately 90 times, and never once does it have any sexual overtones. In every single case, it simply means “son” or “servant,” and thus, not a single scholarly Greek lexicon recognizes the sexual meaning of pais in the Bible at all.” [All emphasis original].

All of the examples cited above represent the poison fruit that inevitably grows from the perverse roots of so-called “gay Christianity.” There is simply no sugar-coating the deviant nature of “queer theology” or “gay liberation theology;” it embodies the most offensive distortion of God’s pure and holy word. As the Apostle Peter warned us, there are biblical texts, “which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless” (2 Pet. 3:16–17).

When someone’s “understanding” of God’s Word begins in the sexual sewer, we shouldn’t be surprised at where they ultimately end up.
