Virginia Man Convicted of Kidnapping for Helping Woman Escape Lesbian Ex

There are times that we feel compelled to act. We wish to give assistance to someone in need. And we should all hope that, if we are faced with an opportunity, we would provide that help. But, what if what is required is an illegal act?

This was the case of several men in Virginia. As I reported, there was a group of Mennonite men faced with just such a situation. A minister and several others planned and executed the escape of Lisa Miller and her daughter to protect the daughter from suspected molestation by the lesbian partner of Miller.

The minister Kenneth Miller (no relation to Lisa) was convicted and then held in contempt for not testifying against his co-conspirators. This did not stop one of them from being prosecuted and convicted.

Christian News reports:

A Virginia man who was accused of helping an ex-lesbian flee the country with her daughter has been declared guilty of international parental kidnapping and conspiracy.

A jury handed down the verdict on Thursday after a nearly two-week trial, which centered not on whether businessman Philip Zodhiates of Waynesboro helped Lisa Miller seven years ago, but whether he did it out of the generosity of his heart or to keep the girl away from Miller’s ex-partner.

Zodhiates was placed on trial on Sept. 20 after being indicted on accusations that he drove Miller to Buffalo, New York, where she then crossed the Rainbow Bridge into Canada. (See the indictment here.) The trial was consequently held in Buffalo as the accused crimes took place within its jurisdiction.

This result should not be a surprise, as we live in a society that calls evil good and good evil. This is how the Humanists will come after the church. They will make us out to be outlaws and bigots so they can throw us in jail.

Paul Washer has been saying this, and Christians and especially pastors better start getting prepared.
