Public school… When you think of public school, what comes to mind?
When I think of public school I think of indoctrination, unwanted pregnancies, evolution, teachers preying on students, the homosexual agenda, re-written history and more.
I bet if you asked your Grandpa or Grandma what school was like when they were growing up, you would get an entirely different answer from what it is today. In fact, when teachers back in the 1940s and 1950s were asked to rank what the top 7 major student discipline problems were among their students, there reply was as follows:
- Chewing gum
- Making noise
- Running in the halls
- Getting out of turn in line
- Dress code infractions
- Not putting paper in the waste basket
Using the same type of survey, the same question was asked of modern day school teachers and their answers were as follows:
- Drug abuse
- Alcohol abuse
What a far cry from how things used to be! In the foundation of our country students learned their ABCs with scripture attached to them. For example:
A – A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother. (Proverbs 15:20)
B – Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith. (Proverbs 15:16)
C – Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
Jeremiah 6:16 says, “Thus saith The Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.”
Has America found rest for her soul? Are our schools havens of Biblical, godly learning or are they war zones filled will all kinds of immorality and corruption in which your child could be a causality?
The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6 to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Whose responsibility is it to train up your children? Yours! Not the States!
If you have a child in public school please consider what is most important – your big house, new boat, and financial gain or the heart and soul of your child being trained up for Christ! Think about it!
