The Faithful Among Men Advance the Kingdom & Stay the Course Against Every Hindrance of Hell

Over the course of the years in ministry, I have met with, and worked with, thousands of different people.  From principals of schools to supporters, from people who’ve attended our events to those who want to book events. I have found one thing to be true time and time again, even with first hand people within the ministry, is that it is very hard to find the faithful among men!

It is so hard to find a faithful man or woman of God who is willing to go through the trials, stay the course, and persevere till the end to get the job done (even when the going gets rough).  I have worked with people who will go so far, but when things get too difficult, they stop, give up, and fall short of reaching their end goal.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

I have worked with people who have said things like, “You know, you guys really ought to do this” or “You guys ought to do that.” Or they’ll say, “You guys should really call so-and-so.”  They are so willing to cast the burden onto you, rather than help carry the load and take responsibility themselves. I have been disappointed with so many people in my life who have dropped the ball and abandoned the call because they could not withstand the trials or tests the Lord was bringing them through to see if they were even worthy of getting to the other side.

In basic training, officers put their soldiers through tests, trials, struggles, opposition, and many more hard things, to test them and make sure they are ready and prepared for the war ahead.  Most professed “Christians” today are soft, emotional people, who do what they want when it feels good and don’t do what they don’t want to do even when the Lord has commanded them to do it!  They say, “I don’t want to step out in faith,” “I have a nice secure job,” “I don’t want to spend a few hours on the phone,” “I could never take the time to organize an event,” “I’m not going to give my money to support that cause” and every excuse under the sun you can think of.

Christians are not called to be soft, mushy wimps with a bunch of excuses as to why they disobey God, who slouch around on a bed of slippery, sloppy grace (which is no real grace at all) and have the lowest standard possible. Christians are called to be tough (2 Timothy 2:3), courageous (Joshua 1:7), and bold people (Php. 1:14), who set the standard of excellence, not continuously fall short of it.  There is no room in God’s Kingdom for emotional, cowardly wimps, who will not fulfill the mandate of what God has called them to do (Mark 16:15).

John Wesley, that great man of God said, “Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on Earth.”  Where are those men and women? John Wesley only asked for 10. That was it. However, just ask Abraham how hard godly, righteous men and women are to come by (Genesis 18:16-33).

Where are those who are sick and tired of what they see and willing to do something about it?  Where are those who will stay the course even if every hindrance in Hell comes out against them?  Where are those who will fight to advance the Kingdom of God and not succumb to every whim under the sun and pull back in cowardice if someone calls you a “hater” or slanders you in some way? Our job as Christians (Being Christ-like) is not to let the enemies of this world and of our Christ advance their cause as we lose ground daily. The Bible says in Matthew 11:12, “…from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” Are you advancing the Kingdom of Heaven by force?

We need faithful men and women who don’t have to be pampered and motivated to do God’s will, because they are motivated by Christ within, remembering that he who has been forgiven much, loves much (Luke 7:47). When you truly love the Lord, you will obey His commands (John 14:15; Mark 16:15). I would love for some faithful men and women to show up at my front door and go to work with them in advancing the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ across this land!  I would like to see those who can help carry the burden, not add more to it.  It is God who calls us, yes, but we have to be faithful and respond to the call with our actions.

Do not just pray about the problems, do something about the problems as well. Put feet to your prayers (James 1:22).  God is not looking for men and women with the most abilities, he is looking for men and women for their availabilities. God does not call the equipped, He equips the called. You have no more excuses. Take up the fight against the immorality, lawlessness and tyranny that you see in this country today and act upon that which you believe. Let God find the faithful among men…with you!
