“Allah Akbar”– It’s What Public School Kids are Singing for Christmas in Minnesota!

In our effort today to be multicultural, we can go to extraordinary lengths to include everyone. We are so afraid that we will make others feel excluded that we will warp the normal to a misshapen mess. This has happened at one public school concert.

Breitbart reports:

Controversy erupted over one of the songs students performed during a Minnesota public high school’s Thursday night holiday concert, “Eid un Sa’Eid – Zain Bhikha.” This Ramadan-inspired song included the phrase “Allahu Akbar,” Arabic for “God is Great,” Minnesota CBS affiliate WCCO 4 reported.

Christian and Jewish songs were reportedly performed by the Blaine High School chorale as was the Arabic song commemorating Ramadan, the Muslim holiday, which took place in June. It was slated to be sung during the audience participation portion of the concert, according to the Anoka-Hennepin School District in Blaine, Minnesota.

What would have been a normal holiday concert, filled with seasonal holiday songs, is now joined with songs for a holiday that occurred six months earlier. Many have been offended by the Islamic content.

WCCO 4 reports:

Some parents in the Anoka-Hennepin School District are questioning a choir teacher’s decision to use a song about Ramadan performed in Arabic at a holiday concert.

It started with a post on Facebook. A parent of a ninth-grade Blaine choir student posted the lyrics to the song the choir has been practicing. When others learned students would be singing the song on Thursday, the comments took a turn.

One person posted, “No child should be forced to sing a song about the Muslims and the religion of hatred.”

Another parent, who didn’t want to be identified, told WCCO phone that considering the recent events in Paris and San Bernardino, singing a song about Allah would be “insensitive.”

I can understand that some would have a concern that Muslim songs were being sung in school. But, one has to wonder if they have any concern for the other religious songs being sung at the holiday concert.

I, for one, have more of a problem with the unnatural and untimely insertion of these Muslim tunes. If we are going to make a place for the secular-humanist, with their history of mass murder in Germany and the USSR, why not the Islamist?

WCCO 4 continues:

In a statement, the district said that they have students from many different backgrounds and cultures, and they promote equal opportunities for all students.

“Songs are not performed in a worship setting or to promote religion,” the district’s statement said. “but rather in [an] educational setting where students are learning and performing music.”

It must be asked why these students would need a song written in Arabic to learn to sing and play music. Is this not the Liberal left’s continued attempt to indoctrinate and assimilate the Muslim way of life into our children?
