As the US Senate drags its feet, as usual, in the investigation of former Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, a stunning report from Ukraine has surfaced in which authorities detained suspects with $6 million as an apparent bribe to end investigations into Biden and the company that paid him, Burisma.

According to a post on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine’s (NABU) Facebook page on Friday, the Director of NABU was the one who was the person aimed at for the bribe.

This is a translated version of the post.

Local news Obozrevatel reports:

The first deputy head of the Kiev tax Nikolay Ilyashenko tried to bribe the leadership of NABU and SAP for closing criminal proceedings against the largest Ukrainian gas producing private company Burisma, which was owned by former Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Nikolai Zlochevsky.

This was announced on Facebook by journalist Yuri Butusov. According to him, among the detainees Ilyashenko himself and Andrei Kicha, director of legal affairs at Burisma.

“(They gave money) for the fact that the special anti-corruption prosecutor Nazar Kholodnitsky will close the case of the infamous Burisma company, which was owned by oligarch Nikolai Zlochevsky, and whose supervisory board was the son of Joe Biden, a former US vice president and, in the near future, a probable candidate for US presidents from the Democratic Party, “the journalist wrote.

According to him, the money should have been transferred only after there is a decision to close the case.

“Kholodnitsky made changes to the ERDR and closed the Zlochevsky case. Ilyashenko checked and made sure that the obligation was fulfilled and transferred the money. There was a detention,” Butusov said.

The journalist emphasized that Ilyashenko is one of the most influential people in the Ukrainian government who solves many tax and shadow issues. He considered Shevchenko a confidant.

“Ilyashenko introduced Shevchenko to the director of legal affairs at Burisma company Andrey Kichy (in the thieves’ jargon“ Kicha ”means prison). It turned out that the owner of Burisma Nikolai Zlochevsky had a birthday on June 14. And he really wants a gift – to close the case against Zlochevsky and Burisma in SAPE. Ilyashenko was the guarantor of the “decency” of the parties to the bribe, he considered Shevchenko to be his confidant. Yevgeny Shevchenko managed to betray nothing of his emotions, and they believed him. He went to the NABU leadership, the detectives turned on and things went, “Butusov summed up.

As OBOZREVATEL reported , the NABU on June 12 detained several people , including the first deputy head of the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service of Kiev Nikolay Ilyashenko, while transferring a bribe of $ 6 million.

CD Media added:

ABU Director Artem Sytnyk last year was caught bragging on tape how he had helped the Clinton campaign against Trump in 2016 by released the faked ‘black ledger’ against Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.

Press reports describe how an official of the previous Poroshenko government, which was tied to the Hillary Clinton campaign in 2016, tried to give the bribe. Reports are the person behind the act is Nikolai Zlochevsky, the owner of Burisma. The man arrested allegedly was his right hand in the Ukrainian government – a former high-level official in the Department of Financial Services of Kyiv.

A bribe was allegedly given for making a decision to close the case against an official who had previously been suspected under part 5 of article 191, part 3 of article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Seized 6 million dollars, read local press reports.

The case mentions a representative of Zlochevsky by the name of Kich.

At 18.40, Nabu blocked two cars at the exit from the parking of the traffic police in Kyiv, one of the cars belongs to Nikolai Viktorovich Ilyashenko, deputy chief of the traffic police.

One does wonder where that money came from.  I would not be surprised if the Bidens are involved in the attempted bribe, would you?
