Our southern border has collapsed and untold numbers of illegal alien invaders are crossing undetected. Those who present to border patrol are being released into the interior of the republic, at taxpayer expense, with a date for a hearing that 90 percent will not attend. Moreover, some member of Congress, as well as news outlets, call this a “humanitarian crisis” while activists assist these lawbreakers by providing them food, water and clothing to assist these illegals to cross the harsh terrain of the US after crossing the border. A real slap in the face is a jury that fails to convict these “activists” for aiding and abetting criminals. Try assisting any other criminal to evade the law and see if a jury fails to convict you.
Many of these illegal alien invaders are coming to the US claiming asylum and refugee status because of poor economic conditions in their home country, not because of religious or political persecution. It’s amazing how some self-professed conservatives would support any citizen aiding and abetting lawbreakers under the misnomer of “humanitarian crisis” while condemning citizens who aid and abet rapists, murderers, and burglars to evade police. Illegal alien invaders are so desperate to enter the US for their own reasons and feed off the public teat they are drowning as they attempt to cross the Texas and New Mexico border canals.

Officials in El Paso, Texas, recovered the bodies of seven people who apparently drowned in canals and irrigation tunnels along the Mexican border. The most recent recovery occurred on Tuesday night when officials found a man and a girl on a bank. Officials believe all but one were migrants crossing from Mexico.
Members of the El Paso Fire Department recovered the bodies of a man and a girl on the bank of a canal on El Paso’s lower valley Tuesday night, KVIA reported. The drownings occurred near the Jonathan W. Rogers Water Treatment Plant.
El Paso Police Department Sergeant Enrique Carrillo told Breitbart News in a phone interview Wednesday that his department is investigating the deaths of six people who died in the canals during the past week. KVIA reports a seventh occurred on Saturday when a woman’s body was found floating in Socorro, New Mexico.
“While tragic, these types of deaths are not uncommon for this time of year,” Sgt. Carrillo told Breitbart News. “With the high levels of border crossings and the swiftly moving currents, we anticipate more drownings will occur.”
The El Paso police spokesman said that five of the six bodies recovered in El Paso were migrants attempting to cross from Mexico. The sixth was that of a transient, he said.
Yes, this is tragic; but, so is the murder of American citizens by illegal alien invaders using various means. But, Americans are supposed to sympathize with the illegal alien invaders who die from crossing these canals or trek through hostile US desert terrain without food, water or clothing. We are supposed to applaud a jury for failure to convict an activist who aids and abets illegal alien invaders by providing food, water and clothing as they trek through hostile US terrain. Sorry, but the playing of the sympathy card for illegal alien invaders has been worn out as much as the playing of the race card.
Carrillo said that the dams in the region release water this time of year for irrigation purposes. “Normally, the Rio Grande is just a trickle of water,” he explained. “Then, they open the gates and things change quickly.”
Last week, Breitbart News reported that El Paso officials issued warnings that the water releases would increase the danger of drownings in the canals located near the border area.
Fire department officials warned that the currents pull people to the center of the river where the fastest currents are located. They said the current will pull you under. The faster the current, the more difficult it becomes for water rescue teams and Border Patrol agents to conduct successful rescue operations, the local ABC affiliate reported.
U.S. Border Patrol El Paso Sector spokesman Fidel Baca explained that the increased current from the dam release also impacts the American Canal. “For the El Paso Sector, that’s going to be the most dangerous part,” he told a KVIA reporter.
On Wednesday, El Paso Sector Border Patrol officials told Breitbart News that their agents located three of the deceased people in a storm drain adjacent to the Rio Grande on Monday. Over the weekend, agents also rescued four illegal immigrants attempting to cross the dangerous canals.
Even after posting warnings, illegal alien invaders choose to risk their lives to cross resulting in the need for rescue by US border patrol instead of presenting themselves to US border patrol. Can anyone see the mixup in priorities here? According to El Paso Police Department Sergeant Enrique Carillo, they have seen a massive increase in the number of border crossings this year, which will more than likely result in an increase number of drownings.
“We have seen massive increases in the numbers of border crossings this year,” Carrillo explained. “This means the likelihood is that we will see an increase in the numbers of tragic drownings.”
Last year, several migrants, including two teenage girls, drowned in July, Breitbart News reported. Border Patrol spokesman Joe Ramero spoke to the El Paso Times about the callous nature of the cartel-connected human smugglers. “With the smugglers being ruthless, they don’t care about the loss of life,” Ramero explained at that time.
“They’re going to try and exploit whatever they can to cross the border into the United States illegally,” he said. “Most people aren’t aware of the dangers in the canal, especially during irrigation season. Those canals can be 15 and 18 feet high and the currents run 25 miles per hour. Even a good swimmer can’t survive that.”
Evidently, these illegal alien invaders care little for their own lives if they are willing to hire smugglers, exposing themselves to untold crimes, and risk drowning in impassable canal, irrigation and drainage canals, as well as a torrential Rio Grande River. Individuals commenting on the article at Breitbart News site expressed little sympathy for the poor judgment of the illegal alien invaders to cross waters with torrential currents. One individual indicated this was nothing new since illegal alien invaders were drowning in those canals in the 1920s with the canals being shallower.
Americans have proven throughout history that we are a generous, sympathetic, tolerant people. We came to the aid of our allies in two world wars, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, and the Iraq war. Through the Marshall Plan, the American taxpayer helped rebuild war-ravaged Europe. The Monument Men traversed the European battlefields to recover art treasures stolen by Germany and hid in salt mines.
Ever since the creation of the united States, Americans have welcomed immigrants entering legally escaping persecution and coming to assimilate into our culture as productive individuals. For decades, Americans have tolerated some illegal alien invaders entering the US because of various reasons, which some were humanitarian in nature. However, with the numbers entering by illegal means for the last decade, this is no longer tolerable because it is a contrived invasion. No longer are Americans sympathetic because of the unknown numbers crossing illegally that taxpayers are being “required” to support through entitlement programs. Some cross back and forth based on economics, sending money back to their home country and taking some back on which to live and/or start businesses then begin the process over again when more money is needed.
Either America is a republic of laws or not. It doesn’t matter how sympathetic one is to another’s situation. One cannot and should not suspend the law or overlook the law because of emotion. It’s either against the law to enter the US outside of immigration law or it’s not. There is no room to excuse these invaders from the law because of their professed situation. It has led to border collapse, which will be difficult to recover and it is leading to legislation being enacted to accommodate lawbreakers, which will almost guarantee open borders.
