Judicial activism. Liberal judges have lost sight of who they are and what they do. Their job is to enforce the law, not make law.
The notorious left-wing federal appeals court Thursday refused to let President Trump reinstitute a temporary ban on travelers from seven majority-Muslim nations, ruling that the president’s order violates the due process rights of people affected by the ban.
The quick decision from a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit could lead to a showdown at the Supreme Court, unless the administration agrees to dial back the travel ban or try its case before a federal judge in Seattle who ordered it stopped last week.
Many Presidents have issued travel restrictions in the past, mostly Democrat presidents, neither the media or the judicial branch challenged it. Carter was not challenged, nor Obama. When President Obama announced we would no longer take Cuban refugees, no one said a word.

APPEALS COURT KEEPS U.S. DOORS OPEN DURING IMMIGRATION FIGHT

The San Francisco-based appeals court on Thursday spurned the government’s request to close the doors after days of public debate over President Donald Trump’s attacks on the judicial system and a rush of fearful immigrants. The ruling increases the likelihood that the administration will ask the Supreme Court to step into a case that’s the biggest test of Trump’s executive power yet.
The public “has an interest in free flow of travel, in avoiding separation of families, and in freedom from discrimination,” a three-judge panel said in a unanimous 29-page ruling.
The panel’s ruling in favor of immigrants is a victory not only for Washington and Minnesota — the states that sued — but for Facebook Inc., Google Inc. and Microsoft Corp., which said in court papers that the measure would hinder their global businesses.
