Thou Shalt Not Judge! Good Thing That Man Is Not The Standard

“Twist not Scripture the way that satan twisteth Scripture.”

You all know how many professing Christians today when being corrected, reproved or instructed in righteousness, love to resort to the wrested version of “Thou shalt not Judge!” Read Ezekiel 44:23 and 2 Timothy 3:16.

They are so diluted and backward that they actually believe that because you are telling them the truth that “makes men free,” that you are hating on them rather than loving on them (John 15:18).

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:” -John 14:6

How contrary to the Word of God.

“A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.” -Proverbs 14:25

“Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.” -Proverbs 27:6

And of course, King David tells us in Psalm 109:4-5: “For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.  And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.”

Well, I say to them, “Twist not Scripture the way that Satan twisteth Scripture (2 Peter 3:16).”

Over and over again, when giving people the truth of what the Lord’s words declare, they feel that you are judging them. I am here to tell you that no one is judging you, I am simply giving you the Judge’s Word.  Furthermore, one needs to consider that Jesus Christ is the standard and fallen man is not the standard.

We are to come out from among them (2 Corinthians 6:17).

We are not to be “conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2).

We are to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof” (Romans 13:14).

We are not to make excuses for what we leave undone nor are we to look to fallen man by using His grace as an occasion for the flesh (Galatians 5:13), and that to our own damnation.

After all, since when did hate ever tell the truth?  Love does that (John 3:16).
