Obama Channels Neville Chamberlain as Islamic Threats of Attack Against Mall of America Loom

On September 30, 1938 British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain cravenly signed away control of German-speaking territories in what is now the Czech Republic to Adolph Hitler. Chamberlain returned to England from the Munich conference proclaiming that there would be peace in our time.

In hindsight, that was a really stupid thing to say. Hitler had been on the scene for years preaching his socialist hatred. But as we have heard, “none are so deaf as those who will not hear.”

At a recent news conference, Attorney General Eric Holder was asked why the Obama administration does not use the term “Islamic terror,” preferring to use a more generic term such as “acts of extremist violence.”

Holder explained that: “I don’t worry an awful lot about what the appropriate terminology ought to be. I think that people need to actually think about that, and think about will we be having this conversation about words as opposed to what our actions ought to be.”

Neville Chamberlain could not have said it any better. And it seems that the results are quite similar. Neville Chamberlain obviously was clueless regarding the virulence of Hitler’s National Socialism and its murderous goals. Perhaps Hitler’s lower class origins obscured the power of his words. Chamberlain, a patrician, appears to have misjudged Hitler, a man of the “lower” class. He should have paid more attention to Hitler’s words rather than his lineage.

Even MSNBC’s Chris Matthews was so appalled by State Department spokesman Marie Harf that he cut her off before she could dig herself any deeper than this: “We cannot win this fight by killing them [ISIS]. We cannot kill our way out of this war. We need in the medium-to-longer term to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups, whether it’s lack of opportunity for jobs, whether —.”

Hitler’s Mein Kampf was disregarded by the elites in the 1930s and Muhammad’s Quran is similarly dismissed in our time. Job statistics don’t give nearly as many clues as do the calls for mass murder in the Quran.

The Muslim attack on a mall in Nairobi is a lesson unheeded by the Mall of the Americas in Bloomington, MN. Nairobi, Kenya still suffers under the laws imposed on them when it was part of the British Empire. Specifically, don’t even think about carrying a firearm – openly or concealed – in public in Kenya. Thus the Muslim murderers who attacked the Westgate Mall in Nairobi in September of 2013 encountered no resistance and were able to slaughter of 67 people.

It’s not just the British and their former empire’s subjects who are stuck on stupid. Nor is Marie Harf a lonely voice of lunacy in the United States. Indeed, the Mall of the Americas in Bloomington, MN has responded to reports that Somali terrorists (many of who reside in Bloomington) are planning to attack the mall by reiterating its no guns policy.

Perhaps we can convince the mall management that the only thing wrong with their no guns policy is that they have yet to learn from the World Trade Center air attack. Let’s urge the Mall of the Americas to ban planes, too.

The spirit of Neville Chamberlain no longer speaks with a British accent, but it is just as lethal, whether spoken in London, England or Bloomington, MN.
