I spoke about the lies of politicians on Monday’s The Sons of Liberty Radio. During that time, I quoted the current usurper of the White House, Joe Biden. Biden, with his mouth stuff with ice cream like a little 5-year-old, blathered back in October 2022, “The economy is strong as hell.” So, what are we to make of the massive amounts of businesses that have gone under or those on the precipice of falling off the economic cliff? As I said, the show was about lies. Now, word came out over the weekend that McDonald’s, the company that serves up alleged food but seems to be anything but food, is preparing for lots of layoffs involving corporate employees.

The Wall Street Journal reports:
McDonald’s Corp. MCD 0.66%increase; green up pointing triangle is temporarily closing its U.S. offices this week as it prepares to inform corporate employees about layoffs undertaken by the burger giant as part of a broader company restructuring.
The Chicago-based fast-food chain said in an internal email last week to U.S. employees and some international staff that they should work from home from Monday through Wednesday so it can deliver staffing decisions virtually. The company, in the message, asked employees to cancel all in-person meetings with vendors and other outside parties at its headquarters.
“During the week of April 3, we will communicate key decisions related to roles and staffing levels across the organization,” McDonald’s said in an internal email viewed by The Wall Street Journal.
Additionally, corporate employee were told to work from home on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as the company gets ready to fire them and restructure themselves.
On the one hand, it doesn’t stop McDonald’s, as they are already preparing for their establishments to run without any human interaction.
On the other, it just means that once the restructuring is over, we’ll hear about the guys at the top giving themselves raises and bonuses.
McDonald’s isn’t the only company in trouble either.
