I understand that cities can buy surplus military gear on the cheap, but I just see this as an opportunity for states to tell the *centralized government minded liberals* that they can’t hang things over their heads. So, instead of depending on the federal government telling them what they can or can’t have to uphold the law and keep the peace, they use this opportunity to say fine, you’re too involved in trying to control every thing anyway. And the more they do, the worse things get, and the more people will complain about how much force the police are using to keep the peace among people who are losing their sense of peace.
