It’s incredible to me that we can be long beyond an election and votes still have not been counted! And many people don’t know or don’t even care. It’s truly amazing! Yet, this is what former Arizona Attorney General candidate Abraham Hamadeh told The War Room. In fact, he claims 9,000 votes have not been counted.
Check it out.
He’s now petitioning the Arizona Supreme Court for a new election trial.
Tucson.com reports:
Claiming legal errors and improper government interference, Abe Hamadeh is asking the Arizona Supreme Court to order a new trial in his bid to overturn the attorney general’s election.
Hamadeh, the losing GOP candidate, and the Republican National Committee claim Mohave County Superior Court Judge Lee Jantzen acted improperly in limiting the amount of time he had to prepare his legal arguments seeking to overturn his 2022 loss to Democrat Kris Mayes. In new court filings, they say that denied them the ability to find evidence that some people legally entitled to vote did not have their ballots tabulated.
They also contend that more time would have enabled them to prove there were a sufficient number of situations where tabulators reported an “undervote’’ in the race for attorney general — essentially, that the voter had skipped the race — but where an examination of the ballots would show people did make a choice. Given that Hamadeh outpolled Mayes among Election Day voters, they say that could more than make up for Hamadeh’s 280-vote deficit.
KTAR adds:
Six months after Jantzen threw out his challenge, Hamadeh filed another request for a trial. However, Jantzen turned the bid down in mid-July.
Why is Hamadeh filing a third request for a new election trial?
Hamadeh’s most recent filing claims Jantzen acted improperly by limiting how much time his team had to prepare their legal arguments.
His Friday filing also argues that Jantzen’s time limit made it harder for his team to find evidence of voters’ ballots not being tabulated.
“We just filed a special action with the AZ Supreme Court asking for a new trial,” Hamadeh said in a video on his Twitter page.
“We found evidence that was being withheld from us from Katie Hobbs and from other counties that didn’t give us the evidence when we first had our trial back in December.” Hamadeh had previously made inaccurate claims about Gov. Hobbs’ role in the recount.
He claimed that political bias prevented justice.
“I’m a former prosecutor,” he said. “If I had done this to a criminal defendant, I would be disbarred.”
