Democrat Senator Who Wanted to Fund IRS, Gloats Over IRS Audit of Conservative Group

“If you care about debt and deficits, you should want a well-funded, well-functioning IRS.”

Meet the new IRS. Same as the old IRS. But with a lot more money to be put to the use of pursuing political enemies.

In the latest series of Front Page Magazine’s investigative pieces on the IRS complicity in enabling leftist violence and terrorism, I profiled a nonprofit that is integrated with Hamas.

The BDS National Committee referred to the Hamas atrocities as the “resistance of the oppressed” and the “powerful armed reaction of the oppressed Palestinians in Gaza. The BDS National Committee’s members include a coalition of Islamic terrorist organizations known as the Council of National and Islamic Forces in Palestine. That includes Hamas.

It’s one of many nonprofits that we have exposed with links to terrorism, domestic terrorism, pedophilia and even piracy.

The IRS won’t touch any of them. It’s too busy auditing conservatives.

The IRS is investigating the tax-exempt status of the American Accountability Foundation (AAF) following its reporting on President Joe Biden’s nominees, according to a letter obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The IRS is requesting AAF submit internal financial data as well as communications, including meeting notes, publications and newsletters, according to the letter from the IRS to AAF obtained by the DCNF. The conservative nonprofit organization, which the IRS approved for tax-exempt status in August 2021, alleges the investigation is in retaliation for the AAF reporting on several recent Biden nominees who later withdrew their nominations.

And then Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, who chairs the Senate Budget Committee, gloatingly tweeted, “someone seems nervous.”

Here was Sen. Whitehouse’s pitch for more money for the IRS. “Fully funding IRS enforcement is both fair and fiscally responsible.  If you care about debt and deficits, you should want a well-funded, well-functioning IRS.”

Fully funding the IRS turns out to be like fully funding the Stasi.
